Bournemouth vs Leicester

Leicester City were struggling coming into this game to buy a victory, and then did it royal style beating Manchester City by a score of 4-2 on the weekend, and now travel away to Bournemouth aiming to replicate that form. Leicester have invested well with a great attacking lineup including Slimani, Vardy, Mahrez, Musa among their ranks; and they all came to the party against Man City, showcasing the quality that the side has if they are able to put their mind to it. While Leicester have managed to find the back of the net in 7 straight games in the league, their struggles on the defensive end are clear for all to view especially with the sale of Kante and the injury to Kasper Schmeichel. Each of their last 7 games have seen over 2.5 goal margin being breached, and I think we can expect the same in their travels away.

Roma vs Milan

Roma come into this encounter as the 2nd best team in the league and the best offensive team with 35 goals in 15 games so far with a great offensive line that has been entertaining throughout the season. Roma have only seen 3 games out of their 15 so far with less than 3 goals, which shows your the entertainment value that they provide; however they have also leaked a goal almost every game with 16 goals so far. Roma will rely heavily on the offensive unit of Dzeko, Perotti and Salah who have netted 25 goals among the 3 of them. The supporting cast of Strootman, Nainggolan, El Sharaawy have been also contributing with the goals and also assists for their front line. Salah who has been extremely influential will miss this game due to injury with el Sharaawy expected to take his place.

Torino vs Juventus

Torino have been the most entertaining team of the season for me, and I have throughly enjoyed watching every game that they have played. Torino have knocked down 31 goals in 15 games are the 3rd highest scorers of the season. They have particularly lethal in front of their home fans knocking down 19 goals in 7 games; which is an average of almost 3 per game. They have a bunch of players who have contributed to their scoring in Betlotti (1o goals), Falque (7 goals), Ljajic (5 goals), Benassi & Baselli (4 goals each). All of them have been working well together as a team scoring together and even creating chances for them. Defensively however, Torino have still be vulnerable with goals being conceded in 12 out of their 15 goals played so far.

Bordeaux vs Monaco

Monaco travel away to Bordeaux as one of the form teams in the division, not losing for 7 straight games now and that has helped them to 2nd spot in the table with just 3 points behind leaders Nice and 1 point ahead of defending champions PSG. Monaco great success has been due to a good defensive record, but more importantly because of a great offensive record. They have now scored 49 goals in 16 games, which is an average of 3 goals per game. They have just come out of a 5-0 rout of Bastia last weekend, and will be aiming to replicate the success after resting a lot of their key players in their mid-week Champions League loss to Leverkusen. Garillo and Falcao have smashed 7 goals, Lemar 6 goals, Gemain and Fabinho 5 and Boschilla 4 goals.

Leicester vs Manchester City

Leicester City have qualified for the UEFA Champions League and now their only focus is to rise up the Premier League table. The defending Premier League champions are sitting in 16th spot in the table with just 2 victories all season, so that has to improve if they want to at least secure a European football spot for next season. Leicester have invested well with a great attacking lineup including Slimani, Vardy, Mahrez, Musa among their ranks, but have failed to deliver on a consistent basis of champions. While Leicester have managed to find the back of the net in 6 straight games in the league, their struggles on the defensive end are clear for all to view especially with the sale of Kante and the injury to Kasper Schmeichel. Leicester will lick their lips to attack a Man City defense who will be missing Otamendi, Kompany and Fernandinho as the defensive cover in this encounter.

Real Madrid vs Dortmund

Real Madrid host Dortmund with the aim of securing a victory tonight in order to top their group especially since they drew their last game 3-3 with Legia Warsaw. Real Madrid know that should they not top the group, they face the prospect of facing teams like Arsenal, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Napoli and Juventus among teams that are sitting at the top of the group. Real Madrid come into this game yet to lose a competitive game this season and being well led by Cristiano Ronaldo who has smashed in 12 goals so far this campaign. With Bale out of this fixture either Vasquez or Morata could take his place for this game, which will give Madrid enough firepower up front. Madrid’s achilles heel has been their defensive struggles. They have now conceded goals in 17 out of 21 games this season and in all 5 of their Champions League games this season.

Lazio vs Roma

Lazio are separates by just one point from Roma and will be looking for victory in order to push themselves to second spot in the table. Lazio’s strong offensive showing of 27 goals in 14 games so far has been well led by Ciro Immobile, Keita, Anderson, Lulic, Milinkovic-Savic who have contributed to their goal scoring efforts. Lazio’s scoring form has helped them now remain undefeated in 9 games on the trot, and finding the back of the net in each of the games. Lazio’s have been struggling to keep clean sheets against the good teams like Napoli, Sassuolo, Genoa, Torino, Milan, Juventus.

RB Leipzig vs Schalke

RP Leipzig have been the surprise team of the season and come into this game chasing their 8th straight victory which has seen them go level with Bayern on points with a game in hand. A lot of their success has to do with their offensive showing with 27 goals in just 12 games so far. Their attacking strength has been led by Werner (7 goals), Forsberg (5 goals), Keita (4 goals) and Sabitzer (4 goals). They have beaten some strong teams this season including Leverkusen, Dortmund and Wolfsburg, who are among the top teams in the Bundesliga. With their form in front of goal and failing to lose a single game this season, one can expect another strong showing from them when Schalke come to town.

Crystal Palace vs Southampton

Crystal Palace come into this game in a good run of scoring form, finding the back of the net in 11 out of their last 13 games. Make no mistake that Alan Pardew has established a good squad capable of attacking the top 7 of the Premier League. With young talent like Puncheon, Zaha, Benteke, Townsend. Their last 4 games have seen them hit at least 2 goals per game, including a thrilling 5-4 loss to Swansea last weekend. The biggest problem for Crystal Palace has been their atrocious defending as they conceded goals in 14 out of 15 games played this season, the one anomaly against Blackpool in the League Cup. Unless Pardew can sort out his defensive mistakes, it will be hard to see how this team makes it towards the top half to of the table.

Dijon vs Monaco

Monaco travel to Dijon as the 2nd best form team presently, and will be aiming to win and take a temporary lead in Ligue 1 putting pressure on rivals Nice and PSG. Monaco have relied a lot on their offense this season after manager Jardem has changed their system of play. The team has a lot of firepower up front with the likes of Falcao (5 goals), Lemar (5 goals), Germain (5 goals) and Carillo (5 goals) and Boschilla 5 goals, showcasing the efforts from all over the pitch seeing them net 43 goals in 14 games, which is the best in the division by some distance. The team showcased on Saturday a superb showing against Marseille where they smashed their rivals by a score of 4-0 in a particularly dominant match up. Monaco will rely on their strong offensive showing to outscore their opponents that has seen them only lose 2 games in the whole season.
