Bury vs Sunderland

Bury managed to make a positive start into the new League One season, as the team managed to overpower Walsall and record narrow 1:0 victory last Saturday evening. Only goal was scored in the additional time of the first halftime when Beckford scored, while the guests tried to respond later on, however without change in the scoreline.
Having in mind that Bury ended the last season barely escaping the relegation, their target for the new one is to avoid relegation battle if possible towards the end and the team wants to end up safely in the middle of the table at least, something that seems to be a realistic target for them this season. They will be playing against Wigan on the road next Sunday and will surely rotate some players for this one.
Defenders Phil Edwards, Nathan Cameron and Eoghan O’Connel are injured, all without playing so far. Same as midfielder Danny Mayor and Jay O’Shea (only one that played in the season opener).

Sunderland, on the other side, opened their Championship season with a 1:1 draw at home against Derby County last Saturday evening and it could be said that the result was generally positive for them, since the team isn’t expected to have an easy season in Champinship, even though they relegated from the Premier League last season.
Players of Derby took the lead in 11th minute via Johnson and the home team responded from the penalty kick in 42nd taken by Grabban, while the overall impression is that the game came too early for both sides. Even though they come from Premiership, it’s hard to expect them getting back to the first tier of English football easily, as many things need to change in a positive way.
Visitors will be without defender Bryan Oviedo, midfielders Duncan Watmore, Paddy McNair and forward Josh Maya, all four without playing so far in the season.

Sunderland won 3:2 against Bury a month ago in a friendly game.

Sunderland is a more quality side and surely remaining a favorite to progress here, however with the way they played against Derby and surely with a few fringe players coming in, I don’t see this match being a walkover for them. On contrary, Bury should be fired up and very motivated to show their best, therefore both teams to score will be my first betting choice.
