Chelsea vs Tottenham

Chelsea have been in good form coming up to this game with strong performances especially on the defensive end which has helped them become solid at the back with 6 clean sheets on the trot in the Premier League. Chelsea solidity has also been helped by Kante and Matic finally getting a great understanding between each other helping them to win games by keep it tight and scoring on the counter attack. Chelsea have been extremely strong in on the offensive end as has been seen in their recent performance led by Diego Costa (1o goals) and Eden Hazard (7 goals). Costa in particular has been in great form netting in 5 out of his last 6 Premier League games and will be aiming to continue that in this encounter. Aside from that Pedro, Willian, Moses and Oscar have been providing some great support from midfield. Chelsea look like genuine title contenders as Conte has set them up perfectly in his style and they have been playing some superb football, and it will be difficult to see how Tottenham can beat them.

Tottenham are traveling to Chelsea with a mini-crisis in their hands as they have won just 1 game in their last 9 games, which is a long slump for a team like Tottenham to have. They have escaped many games stealing late draws against Arsenal, West From and Tottenham. Today’s game will hurt them further as defensively they will be missing Alderweireld, Rose, Davies and Lamela all missing out of this encounter. While Tottenham started out the season well, they have now conceded in 6 straight games, which will have the Chelsea forwards licking their lips. Harry Kane and Victor Janssen up front have not delivered the goods yet this season, so things are still unpredictable for them.
Tottenham travel to their unlucky hunting ground in Stamford Bridge where they have won just once in their last 25 appearances while they have also beaten Chelsea only once since 2010 which was a 5-3 New Years day win at White Hart Lane. Looking at Chelsea current form and Tottenham’s struggles, I am backing Chelsea to sign off this game with a win.
