Italy vs Uruguay

Italy come into this 3rd place game after losing to England 3-1 after collapsing under pressure where they were 1-0 down and then England turned it around including conceding 2 goals in the final 10 minutes. came through their group stages in 2nd spot but still managed to qualify after securing 4 points from the opening stage. When we look at their previous games in the group stages, they have been exciting goal laden affairs where their score lines read 0-1, 2-0, 2-2, 2-1, 3-2 and 1-3. Overall; they have shown they have the ability to score and find the back of the net. Riccardo Orsolini leads the way for Italy knocking down 5 goals for the team so far in this tournament, and is the top scorer so far. He has looked a very promising player for the future; attacking at every available opportunity in order to help his side.

Uruguay were undefeated until their crossed paths with Venezuela. They have a strong defensive record and even went 1-0 up against Venezuela before conceding a 91st minute goal to ensure they play extra time and eventually penalties which saw Venezuela through. The defensive record have seen Uruguay just conceding 2 goals, which came in the quarter finals against Portugal. Uruguay as an attacking unit have been average netting 7 goals in 6 games so far with a collective unit effort in helping them score as they have had goals from all over the pitch with 5 different scorers and one own goal. They will be facing an extremely attacking unit in Italy today which might see things ebb and flow on the counter attack. When these 2 sides met earlier in the tournament it was a narrow 1-0 win for Uruguay; but things have turned around for Italy who have found their scoring boots.
Both teams are looking in good scoring form and have the ability to find the back of the net, so I am expecting goals.
