Krasnodar surprised many last weekend when the team managed to take a narrow victory away to Rubin Kazan following their 1:2 victory on Sunday evening. They had a great first halftime taking the double lead thanks to two goals from Laborde, scored in 17th and 33th minute, taking their lead deservedly and using their chances more than well.
Hosts tried to react in the second halftime and managed to reduce the deficit in 72nd minute via Lestienne, however without being able to make that extra push towards the equalizer. Krasnodar did simply what was needed in order to get the victory, being perfectly satisfied with the lead taken in first halftime and keeping the right score till the end.
Home team should be playing in 4-2-3-1 formation with Laborde as central striker, plus Wanderson, Pereyra and Podberzekin as offensive midfielders. Goalkeeper Stanislav Kristyuk, midfielder Pavel Mamaev, offensive Tornike Okriashvili and forward Fedor Smolov are injured for this one.
Tosno, on the other hand, didn’t manage to make a positive start into the new season, as the team suffered narrow 1:0 defeat in front of own fans against Ufa last weekend. They didn’t look that poor on the field, however it was obvious that the side needs much more experience, more creativity and way more concrete chances in attack.
Only goal was scored in 65th minute via Sysev, as the guests did what was needed and were satisfied with it, staying without their sheet being way too in danger. It’s obvious that the side will be having a difficult season in order to stay above the relegation zone and surely that some more re-inforcement in the squad are needed soon.
Guests are set to play in their typical 4-4-2 formation with Zabolotnyi and Markov most likely as forwards. Striker Ante Vukusic remains injured and sidelined for this one.
Krasnodar took quite impressive victory away to Kazan in the season opener and I expect the home team to prevail with ease here as well. Tosno doesn’t seem like a side that will be capable of playing against some of the best Russian Premier League teams as they didn’t look convincing in the season opener and they shouldn’t be able to keep up with the hosts here.
