Betis have been playing well and come into his encounter with great form behind them with 3 wins and a draw in their last 4 games to lead them up to 6th spot in the table. Those run of victories included wins against Deportivo, Real Madrid and Levante while a 4-4 draw against Sociedad ending their victorious run before the international break. Betis have been in amongst the goals so far this season netting 14 goals in 7 games so far this season with goals coming from all their attacking players. The likes of Sergio Leon (6 goals), Sanabria (4 goals) and Joaquin (3 goals) have been. Defensively, they have conceded 5 out of their 7 games played till date so far with 11 goals conceded; and that has been their achilles heel that prevents them from doing better in the table.
Valencia have also been playing well, sitting 2 points ahead of Betis in the table and have yet to taste defeat this entire season. Valencia have also been amongst the goals this season netting 15 goals so far this campaign with goals coming a lot on the counter attack through players Zaza (7 goals) and Rodrigo (4 goals) leading the way. They have got a lot of support from the other forwards and midfielders like Santi Mina, Dani Parejo and Kondoggbia as well. Their last 3 games have seen them play very well beating Bilbao, Sociedad and Malaga; while also managing successful draws against Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid to call out the start to the season successful. Defensively, they have some opportunities leaking goals in 4 out of their last 6 games, and in particular leaked 2 goals in each of their last 3 games against Sociedad and Bilbao.
This game should be an interesting and attacking one with both teams looking for a victory to boost themselves in the table. The reward for the winner is quite good, 4th spot for Betis or 2nd for Valencia. I am expecting both teams to find the back of the net.
