Juventus vs Barcelona

Juventus come into this encounter on some great form and will be extremely difficult to dislodge in front of their home fans where they have not lost a single game at the J Stadium going back to October 2015; which is a 46 game unbeaten run. So far Juventus have had an easier season with their only losses coming against teams away from home including Fiorentina, Milan, Inter, Genoa, this campaign. A lot of that form is due to the strong defense that Juventus’ boasts with only 8 goals conceded in the league in 15 home games. However, in the last few games they have shown some vulnerabilities conceding against Napoli (thrice), Milan, Udinese and Palermo in their last 10 games. When it comes to the attacking side, Higuain is in great form heading into this game with 4 goals in his last 2 games along with great support along the side from the likes of Dybala, Higuain, Cuadrado, Khedira and Pjanic who have also been chipping in with the goals.

While Monaco had been on a good roll with a 6 match unbeaten run until the PSG game last weekend, but bounced back with a strong win over Lille in the French Cup in mid-week. Monaco will rely on a lot of their forwards to continue delivering the goals in order to have them maintain their lead at the top of the table. Mbappe, Falcao, Bernardo, Germain and Bakoyoko all delivering goals at critical times to see the side progress to this level of the competition. Monaco have been in goal scoring form netting 37 goals in their last 12 games in all competitions, and will aim to continue firing this goals in tonight. Chelsea vs Manchester City

Manchester City know that the door has crept slightly open for them with Chelsea dropping points against Crystal Palace on the weekend. While the gap is 11 points; victory tonight can bring that to within 8 points with Chelsea still to play Everton, Manchester United and Tottenham. City games have been quite open in recent weeks and with plenty of goal scoring chances being created, its no surprise that Sergio Aguero has stepped up to good form netting in each of his last 3 domestic outings for the club including against Liverpool and Arsenal. Defensively, City have looked extremely vulnerable, conceding in 3 straight games against Liverpool, Arsenal and Monaco heading into this encounter. With Guardiola not the defensive type of coach and the players forms struggling, I expect City to concede against this Chelsea side.

Chelsea vs Crystal Palace

The Champions-Elect Chelsea will entertain Crystal Palace in front of their home fans looking to build on their 10 point advantage in the Premier League. Their home record has been outstanding just the solitary loss coming against Liverpool from 13 home games, with all other landing up in victories. They have scored 36 goals while conceding just 8 in front of the home fans, and they will look to take the attack to a weak Crystal Palace defense in this encounter. Chelsea will rely on the likes of Hazard, Costa, Pedro, Fabregas who have all been in good form. Hazard and Costa are slight doubts, but the rest through the international break should do them good. Defensively, they should have no concerns with defense as Luiz, Azpilicueta and Cahill look quite solid at the back for them.

Manchester City vs Liverpool

Manchester City just suffered from a heart breaking loss against Monaco in mid-week that has had all to do with their poor defensive record as much as it has had to do with their offensive struggles. Manchester City know that now with only the domestic titles to focus on; they will have the entire team committed and will be more rested to try and lock up the 2nd spot in the table. Manchester City will rely heavily on the likes of Aguero, De Bruyne, Sane and Sterling who have been their lynchpins up front for most of the campaign and they will need to find the net against a leaky Liverpool side to try and take advantage. City however, can point to their own defensive struggles where they have conceded to Huddersfield, Monaco, Swansea, Tottenham, Burnley and even their loss on 31st December by a score of 1-0 against Liverpool as opportunities for them to turn around their game.
