Leipzig made a decent return to the European stage last week at home against favored Manchester City when they ended the clash with a 1:1 draw, heading towards a pretty tough second leg in England, but never the less, chances for further progress are still present.
On the bright side, they appeared quite confident last time out in Bundesliga when they outplayed Wolfsburg on the road with a 0:3 result, currently being in the 5th spot in the standings, only a point in deficit compared to the Champions League-placed Freiburg.
Goalkeeper Gulacsi (6/0), defender Diallo (5/1), and offensive midfielder Olmo (13/2) are out for the hosts.
Eintracht, on the contrary, faced quite a determined foe last time out in the Champions League at home, as they were routinely outplayed by Napoli with a 0:2 result, practically reducing their chances for the next phase to a minimum.

Gladbach vs Borussia Dortmund ✅
Gladbach failed to be more competitive regarding their latest Bundesliga away performance against Bochum when they suffered a close 2:1 defeat.
They approached the clash insecure a bit and conceded two times already after twelve minutes of play, reducing later during the second part over Plea, but unfortunately for them, that was all they had to offer in this encounter.
Gladbach occupies the 9th spot in the general standings, showing a decent amount of potency this season, but also clear vulnerabilities in the back.
Central defender Jantschke (4/0) is doubtful, while injured and out remain goalkeepers Sommer (10/0), Sippel (3/0), central-back Itakura (5/0), and midfielders Wolf (4/0) and Neuhaus (6/0).
Dortmund ended their unbeaten run across all competitions in the last round on the road to Wolfsburg, as they suffered a 2:0 defeat, probably deserving a better result considering how they appeared.
The visitors conceded early in the 6th, but as mentioned above, performed aggressively, unfortunately without any success, and were punished for their uncreative play with another one just before the full-time whistle.

Wolfsburg vs Borussia Dortmund ❌
Wolfsburg delivered a positive surprise last time out on the road to slightly favored Mainz when they appeared sharper with the ball and recorded a convincing 0:3 victory.
The visitors simply looked more creative in their attempts, scoring once during the first, and on two more occasions in the continuation, being under a threat several times in this one, but even so, appeared sturdy enough to keep their goal intact.
Wolfsburg is currently at the 11th spot in the standings, visibly improving as the season grabs momentum.
Defensive midfielder Franjic (4/0) is out injured, as well as midfielder Paredes (7/0) and forward Kruse (5/0). Offensive midfielder Wimmer (7/1) is doubtful.
The Millionaires did their part in their latest home fixture against minors from Bochum when they didn’t allow any inconvenience and recorded a routine 3:0 victory.
Their job was over already in the first part when they scored on all three occasions, opting to play more defensively when the match moved to the second and brought this clash to an end without any serious difficulties.
Dortmund is holding the 4th spot in the general rankings, having three points less compared to the leaders from Munich.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Borussia Dortmund ✅
A run of four consecutive victories is surely giving Eintracht an adrenaline injection for the upcoming clash with the Millionaires, especially
This victory came on the back of another Bundesliga success on the road against Gladbach when they routinely outscored them with a 1:3 result, currently sitting at the enviable 4th spot in the standings, only three points in deficit compared to the leaders from Union Berlin.
Central defender Hasebe (4/0), right-back Buta (no appearance so far), and midfielder Knauff (8/0) are out for the home side.
Dortmund is coming to this clash taking a slight relief from Europe, as they managed to secure their knockout phase performance, but still yet to be decided would it be the first or the second spot.
They demonstrated brute force over Stuttgart last weekend when they crushed them with a 5:0 result in front of their fans, definitely being eager to take as much as possible in the upcoming one, as they are currently 5th, having only one point less than their respective opponents.
They will miss right full-back Meunier (8/0), midfielder Dahoud (3/0), and forwards Haller and Bynoe-Gittens (4/1). Forward Malen (6/0) is doubtful due to lack of match fitness, just like left-back Guerreiro (9/1) and midfielder Reus (8/2).
Either way, the potential for goals is high

Bayern Munich vs Bayer 04 Leverkusen ✅
The international break came at an ideal time for the Bavarians, as they are caught up in a four-match winless run in Bundesliga, delivering quite a negative surprise last time out on the road to Augsburg when they narrowly lost the clash with a 1:0 result.
The visitors conceded the only one here over Berisha back in the 59th, being distinctively offensive since the start of the match, but lacked that final touch at the finishing to meet the high expectations.
Bayer decreased significantly in their rankings, as they are currently sitting at the 5th spot on the table, being in desperate need of a positive result as soon as possible.
Central defender Hernandez (4/0), midfielder Sarr (no appearance yet) and offensive Coman (3/1) should miss for the hosts.
Things are not so bright for Leverkusen so far in the Bundesliga campaign, as they are currently holding the 15th spot in the general rankings, having only five pints collected out of seven matches played.
They made a setback last time out at home against minors from Werder when they took only a point in a 1:1 draw, in a pretty evenly balanced performance by both sides, so the outcome was realistically more than fair considering all the circumstances.

Freiburg vs Bochum 🟡
Freiburg is coming to this clash after a narrow 0:1 victory in the last round away against Stuttgart, using their small number of opportunities with higher efficiency.
They scored the only one in this clash over Grifo back in the 11th, being in a subordinate position, especially in the second half, but luckily, sturdy enough to keep their goal safe in this match.
Defender Ezekwem, offensive Holer are out, with doubtful being right-back Kubler, midfielders Schade and Eggestein.
Bochum truly has a terrible start this season in the Bundesliga campaign, as they are suffering from a three-match negative run, being completely humiliated in the last round on the road to Bayern when they were hammered with a 7:0 defeat.
As the result is saying, this clash went by in the Bavarian’s signature, not surprisingly though, as the quality gap between these two is simply not comparable, and there is not much Bochum could do to be somewhat more competitive.

Mainz vs Union Berlin ❌
Mainz met the expectations in their opening match on the road against a slightly underestimated Bochum when they narrowly took all three with a 1:2 victory.
The visitors took the lead over Onisiwo in the 26th, but lowered their focus and conceded an equalizer in the last minutes of the first, performing decently via counters when the match moved to the second and scored another one over the same player later in the 77th, thus starting their Bundesliga campaign in the best way possible.
Defender da Costa, midfielder Tauer, and forward Burkardt continue to miss for the hosts.
Union Berlin did a fine job in their opening match against their city rivals Hertha when they routinely won with a 3:1 result.
The hosts performed with an enviable sharpness, as they scored three times after fifty-four minutes of play, allowing the opposing side to at least soften their defeat when they conceded in the late phase of the clash.
Central defender Baumgartl should be the only absentee for the visiting side.

Greuther Furth vs Bayer Leverkusen ✅
Positively surprised in the last round on the road to Hoffenheim when despite being considered a serious underdog, managed to pull out a 0:0 draw.
The guests opted for a more defensive stand, without any unnecessary risks, a tactic that apparently worked well, as they managed to keep their goal intact for the whole ninety minutes.
Gruther Furth occupies the last place on the table, and will most likely be relegated next season.
Forward Pululu (7/0) and central-back Bauer (24/0) are suspended. Goalkeeper Funk (8/0), right-back Meyerhofer (26/1), offensive Nielsen (26/2) won’t play either. Central defender Viergever (20/0), offensive midfilder Dudziak (20/2), and midfielder Seguin (25/0) are doubtful.
Leverkusen failed to be more creative regarding their last performance at home against inconvenient Leipzig when they come with a close 0:1 defeat.
They were better during the first, but lacked more creativity at the finishing to score, and were punished later on in the 69th when they conceded, unfortunately, not being in a position to respond accordingly in this match.
Leverkusen is sitting at the 4th spot in the Bundesliga rankings, only a point ahead of their closes Freiburg.

Mainz vs Bayer Leverkusen ✅
Mainz did a decent job last time out on the road against favored Freiburg when they appeared good enough and took a point in a 1:1 draw.
They opened the match in a more aggressive manner and deservedly took the lead in the 31st over Hack. However, they lost the momentum when the match moved to the second and allowed the hosts to take over and conceded an equalizer later in the 69th, but even so, can be satisfied with their overall appearance in this clash.
Mainz holds the 9th spot in the Bundesliga rankings, having three points less than previously mentioned Conference League positioned Freiburg.
Midfielder Tauer (5/0) is doubtful, while injured remains central defender St Juste (8/1) for the hosts.
Leverkusen booked their fourth consecutive victory in the last round at home against Stuttgart when they convincingly outplayed them with a 4:2 result.

Dortmund vs Freiburg ✅
Surprised to see Freiburg so high on the table, with 30 points from 18 matches and 4th position in the table. In the reverse fixture earlier on the season Freiburg won 2 – 1 with the second-half goal from Sallai. The biggest miss for the team might be Nico Schlotterbeck who hasn’t trained lately due to covid 19 so he lacks match fitness, other than that most likely no big changes.
Dortmund has been great at home, with 8 wins and only 1 loss against Bayern. Akanji has returned to training but most likely he will not take part in this game yet, so Dortmund needs to pair once again Hummels and Can in the central defense. This sounds scary enough already as I think they both are so unstable and prone to errors. Raphael Guerreiro also will miss out on the game, other than that all of the Dortmunds attacking forces are ready to go and terrorize Freiburg’s defense.
