Midfielder Cabot (11/0) and forward Buksa (4/0) are injured. Goalkeeper Farinez remains a long-term absentee.
Nice positively surprised in their latest home match against slightly favored Lille when they did just enough to record a close 1:0 victory.
The hosts took the lead over Laborde in the 34th, holding their ground firmly in the continuation, and deservedly preserved their lead in this match.
Nice is currently at the 10th spot on the table, safely established in the middle, however, not in a position to enter the race for Europe.

Lens vs Lyon ❌
Lens made a minor setback in their latest Ligue 1 performance on the road against underestimated Nantes when they failed to be more creative and took only a point in a 0:0 stalemate.
They had a ball possession advantage, but definitely lacked more ideas on how to appear more dangerous, and simply couldn’t expect a different outcome with such a passive approach.
Nevertheless, Lens is doing a great job this season, as they are unbeaten so far in the campaign, currently holding the 4th spot in the general rankings.
Defender Gradit (7/0) is doubtful for now, while they miss goalkeeper Farinez (long-term absentee anyway), plus forward Said (5/2).
Lyon is visibly decreasing their form lately, as they are currently caught up in a three-match negative run, not being able to do much in the last round at home against PSG when they narrowly lost with a minimal result.
They conceded the only one in this clash over Messi early in the 5th, appearing dangerous to a certain degree during the first part, but unfortunately for them, without any success of spicing this one a bit.
Lyon is sitting at the 6th spot in the standings, having five points less compared to their opponents in the upcoming clash.

Lens ended their three-match positive run last time out on the road to Reims when they made a minor setback and took only a point in a 1:1 draw.
They had the initiative from the begging, but with a player excluded in the 66th minute, the visitor’s job here became much more difficult. They conceded quickly but still managed to bounce back and equalize over Openda in the 82nd minute.
Lens occupies 3rd place in the Ligue 1 standings, having three points less two points less than leaders from PSG.
Midfielder Fofana (4/2) is doubtful, while suspended remains defender Machado (6/1). Injured are goalkeeper Farinez, forwards Buksa, and Said (5/2).
Troyes did a decent job in the last round at home against favored Rennes, when they as well, took a point in a 1:1 draw, probably having a bit more fortune on their side.
The hosts took the lead in the 14th over Ugbo, but having a player less on the pitch since the 27th made their situation pretty undesirable, and even though they opted for a more defensive stand ever since, still conceded an equalizer at the begging of the second, as mentioned above, probably a bit lucky escaping out of this one with at least a point.

Lens is coming to this clash after a 2:0 defeat last time out at home against Marseille, performing with an apparent absence of front creativity to put up with a more competitive stand.
They conceded their first one from the penalty in the 37th, and another later on in the 77th, not being in a position to respond accordingly, even though they had enough time to spice this one a bit.
Lens occupies the 8th spot in the overall rankings, one point in deficit compared to the European-placed Rennes.

Lens is coming to this Coupe de France encounter after a close 2:1 defeat last time in Ligue 1 on the road to Nice, definitely having regrets about their performance, as they potentially could have done more.

Lyon vs Lens
Lyon was involved in a very interesting and dynamic clash in the last round on the road against Nicu, but still, suffered a close 3:2 defeat, definitely deserving at least a draw in my opinion.
They were more creative with the ball since the start and took a double lead with goals in the 35th and the 68th minute, looking confident in those moments.
However, the home side appeared with more confidence during the second and reduced in the 81st and used a numerical advantage on the field which they gained only four minutes later, and with another two scored, denied the visitors with at least a point in this clash.
Lyon is currently at the 9th spot in the rankings, having two points less than European-placed Rennes.

Lens vs Lille
Lens managed to be somewhat competitive last time out on the road against PSG, but they still suffered a 2:1 loss.
They were outplayed during the first sixty minutes of play, as they conceded two goals in that period, but their offense looked better and better as the match moved towards the end.
The guests reduced over Ganago right after they conceded their second one, but unfortunately for them, not being in a position to do something more in this one.
Lens is currently at 5th spot in the rankings, but they need to on alert as both Marseille and Rennes are in a position to threaten them.
Left-back Sylla (20/1) is suspended, while injured is also left-back Haidara (24/2). Central-back Diallo (25/0) should be out injured too.
