WBA failed to be more challenging in their latest performance on the road to a slightly underestimated Hull, definitely lacking focus at the finishing for a more suitable outcome.
The visitors conceded in the 33rd, complicating their situation even more later in the 57th when they scored their own, being a side that held the initiative, especially during the second part, but unfortunately for them, without any concrete solutions in the front.
West Brom is holding the 11th spot in the general standings, having seven points less than playoff-placed Norwich.
The hosts miss goalkeeper Palmer (17/0), central defender Bartley (7/2), right-back Furlong (28/2), offensive midfielder Phillips (25/2), and forwards Thomas-Asante (23/5) and Grant (23/3).
Wigan had a certain dose of luck in avoiding defeat at home in the last round facing underdogs from Birmingham, as they ended the clash taking a point in a 1:1 game.
They found themselves in a 0:1 deficit already at the opening, bouncing back with an equalizer later in the 59th over Fletcher, being quite lucky not to pay the price of an open play, as the visitors missed the penalty only seven minutes later.

West Brom vs Coventry ✅
West Brom is coming to this clash after suffering elimination from the FA Cup campaign last Saturday on the road to slightly underestimated Bristol City when they failed to be more creative and come up with a convincing 3:0 defeat.
Their latest Championship performance saw them also being beaten away to Burnley with a 2:1 result after a complete reversal, definitely putting upon themselves a certain dose of pressure before the upcoming encounter, as a mini two-match negative run should be, and must be, ended as soon as possible.
WBA is currently at the 10th spot in the standings, having two points less compared to the playoff-placed Blackburn.
Central defender Bartley (7/2) is out injured and could be their only absentee worry.
Coventry finally managed to end their poor momentum in the last round at home against underdogs from Huddersfield, as they recorded a 2:0 victory, showing more determination and desire compared to their opposition.
They scored both times during the second part, over Hamer and Palmer, facing some pressure along the way, but even so, successfully kept their goal intact in this one.

West Brom vs Preston ❌
WBA performed confidently in the last round away to Bristol City when they recorded a routine 0:2 victory, being more creative in the key moments and deservedly celebrated in this one.
The visitors took an early lead in the 9th over Phillips, keeping their focus high, and used their chance to score another one in the last fifteen minutes via Thomas-Asante.
With this victory, WBA currently sits at the 14th spot in the overall standings, two points in deficit compared to their opposition in the upcoming match.
Defenders Bryan (no performance so far) and Barley (7/2) are out for the home side.
Preston caught up with the negative vibes, as they are suffering from two back-to-back defeats in the campaign, making a setback last time out at home against underdogs from Huddersfield when they ended the clash with a 1:2 result.
The host’s scored first though, over Cunningham in the 35th, but failed to use the gained momentum in the continuation, and unfortunately for them, conceded on two occasions during the second part, simply appearing too uncreative for a better outcome.

West Brom vs Wolverhampton
WBA was close in taking all three in the last match against Aston Villa, but unfortunately for them, took only a point in a 2:2 away draw.
They conceded early in the 9th after the penalty but responded from the same situation over Pereira just fourteen minutes later. The guests took the lead later on in the 47th when the home side scored an own goal, but couldn’t withstand the pressure, as Aston Villa pretty much went all-in, and conceded an equalizer just before the full-time whistle, more than deservedly overall.
WBA is at relegation leading 19th spot, still with a theoretical chance for survival, but they will have to perform almost perfectly in matches to come.

West Brom vs Southampton
WBA accomplished quite a result in the last round when they managed to overrun Chelsea in London, outplaying them with a convincing 2:5 result.
The visitors conceded first in the 27th but were given a huge advantage only two minutes later when Silva was excluded. They used in the best way possible, scoring two in the last minutes of the first part, and successfully added three more to the scoreline in the continuation, allowing the hosts to be effective only one more time back in the 71st, for a truly surprising win, considering their overall appearance in this season.
WBA occupies relegation leading 19th place, and this victory surely came at the perfect time to boost their morale.
