Espanyol vs Sevilla

Sevilla come into this game in a decent run of form, losing just 1 of their last 9 games, which was a shock 3-0 away loss to a second string Real Madrid side. Despite that loss, which was the 1st of 2017; they have now gone on to have a 4 match unbeaten run with 13 goals in those 4 games. They even took revenge against Real Madrid by beating them 2-1 and the offensive of Sevilla has really turned for the positive. They have relied on strong showings from Ben Yedder, Vitolo, Vasquez, Iborra, Sarabia and even their latest signing Jovetic. Sevilla are currently 2nd in the table with just 1 point behind Real Madrid, and will be looking to put pressure on them with a victory in this encounter. Sevilla’s games have averaged almost 3.53 goals per game, and that has maintained whether home or away; so I look for Sevilla to push on with their good goal scoring form and net a few tonight.

Burnley vs Bristol City

If Burnley play anything like a full strength team against Bristol City, they should be good enough to win. Their home form this season has been some of the best in the Premier League.
Bristol City are in all sorts of trouble at the moment and are unlikely to be prioritising the Cup, given their current league position. Burnley are strong at home and are doing well enough in the league to justify a good run in the Cup. Can’t see past a comfortable home win here. Burnley’s home form has been outstanding in the league this season and they’ve defensively strong so I can’t see any reason why they can’t continue that tomorrow.

Marseille vs Montpellier

Marseille are having a bit of a rollercoaster season playing some good football but have been vulnerable when least expected. They will be looking to improve after suffering two consecutive heavy defeats. Monaco beat them 4-1 on their own patch and they followed it up with a 3-1 defeat at Lyon after being completely outplayed in the matches. Their ambitions to finish in top four is certainly going to be a battle and a win here could see them go fifth. Montpellier are in bad shape with two wins in their last nine matches and are without a win in three. They are poor travellers as they are yet to register a win. They are in six consecutive away defeats in all competitions.

Leeds vs Nottm Forest

One of the in form sides in the league vs one of the worse overall performers. Leeds have done enough in recent weeks despite their weekend defeat against Barnsley to warrant consideration as a promotion contender. Forest come from a win vs Bristol City but this will do little to lift their ratings given Bristol’s woeful form.Leeds have won their last 5 games at home without even conceding. Nottingham forest have won just 2 of last 13 games away too.

Brighton v Cardiff

Brighton come into this encounter looking to maintain their form of victories which has now seen them 5 out of their last 6 games in all competitions and with just 1 los in their last 19 games, which has helped them to stride up 2nd in the table, with 1 point and 1 game behind their opponents. Brighton have been extremely attacking at home scoring 27 goals in 13 games already while conceding just 7, showcasing the strong scoring form at home which has helped them get to the lead. Only 7 out of 26 games for Brighton have seen less than 2 goals.

Chelsea vs Hull City

Chelsea while not having their top scorer Diego Costa last time around but comprehensively beat Leicester City by a score of 3-0 away at the King Power Stadium and now will look to their strong home form to help them push on for another victory with Costa fit and raring to go. Chelsea have Hazard and Pedro in good strong form, sitting wide of Costa in the 3-4-3 formation and that has helped them give plenty of attacking strengths especially with Moses and Alonso putting pressure from the wings as well. Chelsea have had one blip against Tottenham in the last 1 month, but have managed to put 3 goals past Leicester, Peterborough, Stoke, Bournemouth so far. Chelsea have been strong at home smashing 28 goals in 10 appearances to help them to a top spot in the table, with just 1 los coming at home so far.

Manchester City vs Tottenham

Tottenham will look to their turnaround in fortunes in this game against Manchester City with victory helping them to narrow the gap with Chelsea to 4 points. Tottenham have been extremely good in their recent run of form being able to win 7 games on the bounce including beating Chelsea, Southampton and West from who are typically decent defensive teams. The form of Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen has been a major reason for success. But also a big reason for their success has been the strong showing of the sides from Walker and Rose who have been playing as auxiliary wingers in the 3-4-2-1 formation that Pochettino has employed so far this campaign. As a result the balls get played out a lot to the wings and lots of crosses come in that result in goals or even corners.

Everton vs Manchester City

Man City seem to have found some good form again, winning impressively at West Ham in the FA Cup last weekend, whereas Everton have some patchy form, with home defeats to Leicester and Liverpool recently.
Their head to head record against City is reasonable, but they do have players both missing and injured, and Man City win is probable, but they are capable of scoring against a side with just 2 clean sheets in 13 away games.
Really good chances to see at least 3 goals in this game.
Everton have scored at least 2 goals in 5 of their last 6 premiership matches, they kept a clean sheet in only 2 of those 6 games.
7 of the last 10 premiership matches played by Man City have ended with over 2,5, they kept a clean sheet in only 2 of those 10 games.

Celta vs Valencia

Valencia come into this game after losing by a score of 4-1 in the first leg to Celta Vigo and also then following that with an exciting 3-3 draw with Osasuna on Monday night. While Valencia are in crisis after Prandelli left after 10 games, they have brought in Voro to cover up until the end of the season with a view to survival. Valencia have been finding the back of the net regularly with 25 goals in their last 15 games, an average of almost 2 per game, but ensured that in those 15 games they haven’t scored in only one game, and didn’t score in only 2 games all season. They have relied on a lot of scorers including Munir, Santi Mina, Nani, Rodrigo, Parejo, Suarez to chip in on a regular basis to keep those goals flowing for them. Defensively however, Valencia have conceded in every single game played this campaign which will be something that their opponents will look about it and especially today with his first choice centre back pair of Abdennour and Garay missing out.

Sassuolo vs Torino

Torino have been the team who have had the games with the 2nd highest scoring games in the Serie A, with an average of 3.50 goals per game for the campaign. Torino have seen 13 out of 18 games having at least 3 goals in the game and a lot of that is due to their strong offense. They are the 3rd highest scorers in the league with 36 goals in 18 games, and are also the 2nd highest scorers on the road with 15 goals in 9 games. A lot of their scoring has relied on Belotti (9 goals), Falque (8 goals) and Ljajic (5 goals, 4 assists); and they have played well as a front 3 to deliver results for this Torino team who are now sitting in in 8th. Torino’s defensive record has been poor and that is what has costed them with 27 goals conceded leaving them bottom 6 in defense despite the signing of England no.1 keeper Joe Hart.
