Aarhus performed quite a spectacular game last Sunday night against Midtjylland where as many as seven goals were seen. Playing as a visiting team, and considered an underdog in this one, Aarhus managed to pull out a 3:4 victory in this match.
In the first part, teams were quite balanced, with one goal seen from both sides. In the continuation, just three minutes from the beginning of the second part, hosts had a 3:1 lead, but guests kept their focus and completely reversed the result in their favor with three goals scored, one at the very end of the injury time.
Aarhus is positioned at the third place with fifty-four points, still being competitive for the second position with slim chances.
They will miss midfielder Poulsen (25/0) who is suspended. Injured are left defender Gersbach (2/0) and midfielder Duncan (15/0).
Aalborg suffered a very convincing home defeat in the last round against Nordsjaelland with a 0:4 result. Guests were simply the better team during the whole match, having the two-goal advantage after the first part, during which they completely dominated.
The second half was not much different from the first, guests again scored twice, and set the final result in this match. Aalborg is at the last place in the SuperLiga with thirty-eight points, without realistic chances to get back into the fight for the European exit.
The guests will miss suspended left-back Ahlmann (21/0), while injured remains goalkeeper Rinne (28/0). Midfielder Christensen (22/1) is out due to illness.
Hosts are showing much more for some time
If they want to stay in the race for that second place at all, victory is imperative in this match for the hosts. That shouldn’t be much of a problem for them, they are simply a better team by all means. If we add a poor form that the guests are currently in, overall form and individual quality, they should prevail easier than what the odds suggest.
