Arsenal wish to finish the season among top 4 in the Premier League, which would mean booking a ticket to the Champions League. Unfortunately for the Gunners, two other teams have basically the same plans, so getting there won’t be easy.
But, right now, Arsenal are in a pretty good chance to move one place upwards. Man United, who have 1 point more play Liverpool this round, which means that the Gunners could overtake their positions. But, for that, they need to beat Southampton.
Anything but a win over Saints would be seen as a failure. If they want to keep their Champions League dreams alive, Arsenal mustn’t drop points against the teams from the bottom half of the table, especially when the match is taking place at their turf.
Speaking of which, Arsenal have been fantastic at the Emirates this season. They’ve lost only 1 game at home so far, winning 10 out of possible 13 Premier League matches. The best thing is that they’ve won every single league game played at home since November 2018.And I’m pretty certain their good home run is gonna continue.
