After three defeats in a row, Atalanta managed to get a point in the previous Champions League round against much more individually quality side Manchester City in a 1:1 game.
Of course that the Citizens have created more, but weren’t actually up to the desired level allowing the Italians to match them properly at some stages of the game.
This is the first point taken for Atalanta, but the team still holds the destiny in their hands – just, they’ll need to get two consecutive victories in the last two rounds to pull out something out of this group.
As for the Serie A, they lost at home to Juventus with three goals conceded int he last sixteen minutes, having great chances previously to lock the game down.
The Italians should only miss injured striker Zapata (7/6).
Dinamo made a bit unexpected setback losing two points in a 1:1 game at home against Hajduk Split last Friday evening.
Even though they were much better and have created much more than their opponents from Split, they simply failed to be more concrete in attack and score, deserved a goal or two more.
On the other side, Hajduk leveled up from the penalty kick not threatening generally a lot. Still, Dinamo remains four points above second-placed rival and does have fine domestic season for now.
Central midfielder Moro (12/2) is suspended for this match now. Forward Kulenovic (2/0) and defender Leskovic (5/0) are injured too.
Even with just one point so far, Atalanta does have a chance to make some impact and progress further – or at least into the Europa League. In order to keep the chances, the team will need a victory in this one and an open approach is very likely from them.
Dinamo isn’t to be trusted at the back and that’s the reason why I strongly beleive that the Croatian side neither will be afraid of attacking. It definitely smels like goals once again in this group.
