Leverkusen is looking way better in the second part of the season. They now come from a 3:2 victory away to Hannover, making a right approach from the first minutes. Once again scoring goals wasn’t a problem for them as the team now needs a victory to remain in the race for the Champions League spot.
Werder Bremen, on the other side, comes from a 4:2 victory at home against Schalke last weekend. An open game from both teams was seen but should be said that the game could have ended way differently with both teams having plenty of chances. Bremen is now six points behind Leverkusen and can remain in the European race only with a positive outcome here.
Midfielder Bender (14/1) and forward Pohjanpalo (7/1) are long-term absentees for the hosts. Bremen misses suspended defender Veljkovic (17/1), injured defender Langkamp (14/0) and forward Pizzaro (20/3) with a few more players being doubtful.
– Leverkusen has scored at least 2 goals in their last 7 matches (Bundesliga)..
There were eight goals in their previous game and today shouldn’t be completely different. The hosts will try to attack and get all three points, while Werder has every quality to be as dangerous as possible.
