Braga reacted well away to Nacional in previous Primeira Liga in a 3:0 victory. They looked a bit better at first, however, once the side upped the tempo in the second half it was all about them and over for Nacional. The side is now just a point behind the second placed Benfica and generally in fine momentum.
Sporting had an easier game than what the final result says, as the team comes from a 2:1 win at home over Moreirense. They entered the game strongly and had the double lead after first twenty-six minutes, not being threatened much later on but being reduced soon enough. The team is three points behind second placed Benfica sitting on the fourth position.
Braga misses goalkeeper Matheus (3/0), defender Ailton (1/0), midfielders Fransergio (14/0) and Palhinha (8/1). The guests won’t count at defender Gaspar (11/1), midfielder Battaglia (8/0) and forward Montero (9/2).
Braga seems to be in a fine form and could be a slight favorite in this one, however with Sporting having a much better-attacking line than their reliability at the back, I see the guests trying to attack as well since their chances are narrowed in other scenarios. It’s something that should spice up the game well here.
