Brondby looked decent at times in the previous season, even managing to reach the finals of the Landspokal Cup competition, but getting more serious into the title race remains a dream for them. This season is going in a similar direction, with them being sure for the championship group, but position higher than the third position will remain impossible. Being eliminated from this season’s Cup, their target now is to improve the performances and hit the correct form ahead of new probably European qualifiers.
Three friendly matches Brondby had upon the re-start of the league, losing out to Lyngby and Hvidorve, winning in between against Lyngby and using plenty of options from the bench in each of the games.

Defensive midfielder Borkeeiet (6/0) and midfielder Fisker (6/0) are out injured for this one.
SonderjyskE will once again have to get satisfied by playing in the relegation group, and as it looks like, they’ll manage to secure the salvation without many problems. Currently, they are eight points above the thirteenth placed Esbjerg and only can make their lives difficult in case of a huge downtrend.
They weren’t much of a convincing side before the stop of the season with three matches run without the victory, however – they did make quite a surprise eliminating Randers away from home in the Cup competition early in March and surely aim to satisfy there, welcoming Horsens in nine days at home in the semi-finals already.
They had their friendly matches against Kolding IF 1:1 and a 3:1 loss against FC Copenhagen last Tuesday afternoon as a part of the preparations for the re-start.
SonderjyskE team news
Defensive midfielder Jonsson (20/0) is suspended now, while injured remain right-back Simonsen (17/1) and midfielder Albaek (18/2). Winger Hassan (24/1) shouldn’t play either with injury too.
Favorites with weak defense
Just as in the recent friendly matches played, Brondby looked quite naive at the back for the almost entire season. This shouldn’t change much now, especially not since they are under pressure to win and remain quite weak defending counter-attacks. The guests have very little to lose here, and that’s exactly the reason why I see them as dangerous as possible.
