Cameroon vs Guinea Bissau

Cameroon didn’t have a very easy path to the African Cup of Nations, as they were drawn in a qualifying group together with Morocco, Comoros, and Malawi.
The team had to wait till the last round to secure mathematically ticket for the final competition, but they did it in style – with a 3:0 home win over Comoros.
As for the preparations, it didn’t go as smooth as expected, since the players were having a disagreement with their football federation management.
However, it should be behind them as they try to defend the title here winning the previous competition in Gabon in 2017 which was their fifth African Cup of Nations title.
The side won over Zambia 2:1 and had a 1:1 draw against Mali in two official preparational matches this June, both on neutral ground.

Clarence Seedorf is their national head coach and eyes will be on him as well, as the team remains packed with decent quality – especially in the attack with names such as N’Jie from Marseille or Choupo-Motig from PSG..
In a very equal and tight group, players of Guinea Bissau managed to make a surprise and earn qualification for the final tournament.
Being drawn together with Namibia, Mozambique and Zambia they had just two victories out of six rounds – but even that was enough to clinch the group as first, but with just two points more than last-placed Zambia.
No doubt that the lack smiled on them during the qualifications and with the draw especially, while the team had just one preparational game losing to Angola 2:0 earlier this June.
Their team consists of players playing mostly in Portugal, plus some more experienced guys from Europe – but far away from the top quality.
The national team of Cameroon isn’t packed with quality anymore as they once were, but still, the side remains close to the top of the African football.
Guinea-Bissau isn’t looking very promising and should not have many chances to score here. They should appear very defensive here.
A victory of Cameroon and under 2.5 goals is also an option, but this time I’m much more convinced in their victory, maybe even with three goals scored. Once they take the lead, the game might become easier for them, since the team has extra pace quality with their midfielders and wingers.
