Celta couldn’t do more in a 3:1 defeat away to Athletic Bilbao last weekend, after four consecutive matches with no loss.
They might have been bit better than what the result says, however, there’s no room for any kind of disappointment as the side still keeps the destiny in their own hands and do look really well recently at home.
After their victory over Real Madrid which kept the chances for them to find salvation, players of Vallecano disappointed in the next round(s) and are now officially relegated to Segunda.
Last weekend, the team suffered 1:2 defeat at home against Valladolid, once again showing huge gaps in the defense in spite of a lot more of the ball possession than what their guests had.
Defender Junca (21/0) and forward Mor (10/0) won’t be used by the hosts for this one. The guests probably miss defender Galvez (17/1) and midfielder Elustondo (5/0).
Even though Celta can be fully satisfied with a point as well, there’s no reason for them not to go for a victory here. They should be aiming to say goodbye in the best possible way and surely have the quality to do so.
It will be against a side that proved to be so vulnerable at the back and the weakest traveler all season long, probably now just waiting for the season to end after confirming their relegation.
