Charleroi vs Anderlecht

Charleroi opened up the new season with quite disappointing 0:1 defeat in front of own fans against Antwerp two weeks back. However, the players bounced back with a much better performance last Saturday afternoon when they looked pretty impressive in a 1:4 victory away to Eupen.
Even though they were back in the scoreline due to an own goal in the tenth minute, the side managed to show their character later on. They leveled up the result in the same manner in the 24th minute, reverting the scoreline completely in the first halftime already. It was in the 33rd minute thanks to a goal from Rezaei. It was wide open first halftime where the players of Charleroi looked bit more concrete.
The second halftime has gone in a bad way for Eupen, as they stood playing with a man less early in the second part and couldn’t do much more. Finally, Perbet and Rezaei scored their goals in the last ten minutes of the clash to seal the victory.

Surely that Charleroi will want to use the momentum and present themselves as good as possible. Goalkeeper Nicolas Penneteau (who was their first choice goalkeeper last season) continues to be sidelined due to injury. Newly signed midfielder Omid Noorafkan is still not ready. Same goes for defender Gjoko Zajkov.
Anderlecht is having a good start into the season after failing to be more competitive in the title race last year. In the season-opening game away to Kortrijk they looked very well, dominant and concrete in attack taking a 1:4 victory. Second round game saw them winning over Oostende with a 5:2 result.
Obviously, they do look close to excellent in attack for now. The first halftime wasn’t that interesting against Eupen and very little things were done. However, second part got opened with a goal from Santini in the first minute, while Dimata doubled up their lead in 52nd minute already.
Visitors started playing more open – reduced in 58th via Guri, but the quality of Anderlecht was seen again. Santini scored twice more, Dimati scored his second with visitors reducing in the second minute of added time via Milovic.
Anderlecht looks more than well so far in attack and is surely huge favorite in this match as well. They should be able to use the moment, while neither Charleroi seems to be naive in the attack.
