Dijon vs Rennes

Dijon continued with their poor appearances in Ligue 1, as they come with another negative result in the last match against Bordeaux when they suffered a 3:0 loss, playing away from home.
The visitors were completely in a subordinate position, especially during the first part when they conceded two goals in the 12th and the 29th minute. The visitors were too passive as the match progressed, not being able to create any noticeable opportunities, on the contrary to the hosts, who were effective once more in the 89th, thus, setting the final result in this clash.
Dijon currently occupies the last place in the standings, and the way they appear on the field so far, can’t expect too much in the matches to come.

The hosts will miss injured central back Coulibably (no performance so far), with midfielder Amalfitano (2/0) being doubtful. Forward Assale (3/0) shouldn’t play either.

Rennes made a minor setback in their last match against Reims, as they come with a 2:2 home draw, despite being considered a strong favorite.

The hosts conceded very early, already in the 10th minute, but responded in the best way possible, as they turned the result to their favor with goals in the 24th and the 37th minute via Raphina and Da Silva. They were in complete control over this encounter but had the misfortune of conceding another one in the 66th minute, and walked with just a point, probably deserving much more.

Rennes started the new season furiously and quite deservedly is in 1st place in the rankings, not knowing for a negative result in the first six rounds.

The guests will not be able to count at central defender Da Silva (6/2) and midfielder Nzonzi (6/1) due to suspensions. Left-back Maouassa (4/0) and forward Niang (1/0) is injured. Unfit is midfielder Camavinga (6/1) for all ninety minutes of play.
Quality and momentum difference

The way Rennes appear this season, it is hard to see them not walking away with the victory out of this match. They have the cohesion and fluidity in their game to outplay already shaken Dijon. If they approach this match with their distinctive play, this might easily turn out even to a one-sided game.
