Doncaster vs Rotherham

League One action for me again this week with the main game being played at The Keepmoat Stadium, Doncaster. The game will be played between Doncaster Rovers and Rotherham United. The game will kick off at 12:30 UK time and will be a South Yorkshire derby.
Both sides head into the game in good form and occupy 11th and 13th in the table, Doncaster are just in-front on 8 points from 4 games, 2 wins and 2 draws. Doncaster head into the game having scored in every league game they’ve played this season. They’ve won their last 3 competitive games 3-2 vs Fleetwood, 2-1 vs Lincoln in the league and 3-1 vs Lincoln again in the cup. 3 home games and they’ve won all 3. They are very strong at home and many predict that they will be up and around the top of the league come the end of the season.

Manager Darren Moore has come in and changed a few things around, he seems to be getting the best out of the players this season and they look like they have plenty of goals in the team despite losing their top scorer John Marquis in the summer.
Doncaster have been lining up in a 4-2-3-1 formation which seems to be working well for them.
Rotherham on the other hand have also started life back in League One ok, they have won 2, drawn 1 and lost 1 this season. Rotherham don’t seem to be scoring as freely as they were last season in the championship, however, they have the ability to do so once things click. They have a lot of new players in the squad and i think they just need a little time to adapt to life back in League One. I expect that Rotherham will line up with a 4-3-3 formation and try and take the game to Doncaster today.
Rotherham could allow Jake Hastie a game as he is eligible after moving from Rangers this week. He is a young player but offers a huge amount of pace. Also, Ogbene played his first game for Rotherham vs Tranmere and look very quick on the right hand side. He came from Brentford and again has a huge amount of pace and looks like he could cause League One defenders issues.
Doncaster have been strong at home and the Millers have been very good away from home this season so I expect a solid encounter and a typical derby game. The millers have played two away games and have won both. I think it’ll be a good game and could go either way, one thing I am confident of is that both team have the ability to score goals.
