Esbjerg now got into a really nice form, winning three out of last four rounds and being undefeated in the last five matches. They come from a 1:0 victory away to Brondby scoring a goal in a very late phase of the clash.
The team got awarded for their spirit, however, were also lucky as Brondby missed some decent chances including a penalty kick. The side is now four points above the fourth-placed Odense.
Norsdjaelland now has no victory in the last six rounds, coming from second consecutive defeat last time out at home against Midtjylland in a 1:2 game.
They have taken the lead first, but looked more passive and weaker in the second halftime, without many chances created later on. The side sits now on the sixth position without much of competitive motive trying to build up the team for the future without much pressure.
The hosts could miss defenders Mortensen (1/0), Egelund (1/0) and forward Larsen (3/0) all talented youngsters who didn’t play much anyway. The guests miss suspended defender Mumin (14/0), while injured are midfielder Jensen (24/1) and offensive Frese (2/0).
Esbjerg seems to be in a nice form now and is close to reach the third position and get the deciding game for the Europa League.
Nordsjaelland doesn’t look that interested anymore, while their results support that. The home team could prevail here easier than what the odds suggest.
