Fleetwood, slightly raised their morale in the last match of the EFL Trophy, as they recorded a routine 3:0 home victory against the young team of Aston Villa last Tuesday, never the less, victory is what counts.
Overly looking they are not in the best shape, back in League One. They started the season in a good manner, with a victory against Burton, but unfortunately, from that point on, they are on three matches losing streak. In their latest encounter, they suffered a 2:1 loss to Rochdale, away from home. The visitors did control the ball during this clash, but lack of creativity at the finish of the attack was obvious, so this loss didn’t come as a great surprise, even though they were considered favorites before the match.
Fleetwood is currently at 22nd position in the rankings, having only three points out of four matches.
Goalkeeper Coleman is long-term absentee without playing anyway, while doubtful is midfielder Rossiter who also didn’t play so far coming off from injury.
Hull really caught a good rhythm since the beginning of the new season, as they have the perfect score so far. They did just enough in the last round to record a 1:0 victory against Plymouth, playing at their home.
They were a better team during the first part of the match, and quite deservedly took the lead first in the 10th minute over Adelakun. The second part went by in pretty much idealess play of both teams, so the score in this one was set already in the first half.
Hull, with their four victories in a row, occupies the 2nd place in the standings, having the same amount of points as first-placed Lincoln, but due to goal difference, are at the lower position.
The guests will miss forward Magennis (4/1) since he is on international duty, while offensive Scott (3/0) remains injured. Midfielder Smallwood (2/0) is doubtful for now.
Momentum and experience should prevail
Hull is looking way better since the season started, and is looking like a team that is closer to victory in this clash. Even though the hosts are currently in a losing momentum, they are quite effective, as they scored in every match this season in League One, so for the sake of safety, I am leaving the possibility of a draw here, but as mentioned, the visitors have everything that it takes to come out of this one with three points in their hands.
