Fulham entered the season in a decent way, however now the team has four matches run without a victory and with the competition getting really strong, it doesn’t seem like an easy season in ahead of them for now.
In the most recent game last weekend the side visited Everton and suffered 3:0 defeat without being able to respond to the opponents in the last thirty minutes of the clash. The hosts were better in the first halftime, but have completely overrun the opponent in the second even missing the penalty before they took the lead.
Sigurdsson brought the hosts into the lead in the 56th minute, while Tosun scored second ten minutes later and Sigurdsson sealed the three-pointer in the 89th minute. Fulham is now just above the relegation zone having two points more than relegating Newcastle.
Mitrovic should be in the center of attack, with Vietto and Schurrle on the wings. Left-back Joe Bryan (4/0) and right back Timothy Fosu-Mensah (5/0) are both injured. Central defender Calum Chambers (5/0) will not be playing due to a loan agreement with Arsenal.
Arsenal, on the other hand, comes from quite difficult 2:0 home victory against Watford last Saturday afternoon. It wasn’t as easy as the final result says since the Gunners scored both goals inside the last ten minutes of the match via an own goal and a goal from Ozil.
Needs to be said that they actually weren’t that better, having much more of the ball possession overall, but the visitors were the ones who looked more concrete during all ninety minutes. Still, it’s their fifth consecutive victory now after two starting losses as the team now stand at sixth position with just four points less than leading duo from Manchester City and Liverpool.
Lacazette will lead their attack, with Mkhitaryan, Ozil, and Iwobi acting as offensive midfielders most likely. Goalkeeper Petr Cech (7/0), left back Ainsley Maitland-Niles (1/0) are injured. Same as Laurent Koscielny, Carl Jenkinson and Konstantinos Mavropanos who all anyway didn’t play so far in the season. Forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is doubtful for the moment due to illness.
During the midweek, they had no problems defeating Qarabag away from home int he second round of the Europa League with a 3:0 result last Thursday evening (goals were scored by Sokratis, Smith-Rowe, and Guendouzi).
Arsenal is a favorite to get a victory here, however, the team still doesn’t look that solid in the defense. I expect both teams to score but Arsenal probably to win too, since the hosts aren’t that weak and have plenty of different qualities in attack to threaten the Gunners.
