LASK comes to this one after away draw against Wolfsberger in a very interesting match. In completely even first half, the guests scored first in the thirty-sixth minute over Frieser they scored. Both teams started the second part of the match in a very similar offensive way.
Guests again scored another one in fifty-sixth minute via Trauner. The second conceded goal fired up the red light for the hosts and they managed to completely turn around the result in their favor with goals over Dieng, Liendl, and Novak. With a goal in added time, Tetteh secured a point for the guests in a 3:3 game.
LASK is currently placed at the fourth position and with three teams aiming that second spot and Champions League exit, a victory is imperative here.
Left-back Potzmann (16/1) and winger Goiginger (19/5) are both out injured.
Rapid approach this match in a positive mood as they defeated Sturm Graz with a very convincing 4:0, at their home stadium. Hosts showed a very good transition game, and they had a 2:0 advantage, at the end of the first part, which was brought to them by Arase.
In the continuation of the game, both teams approached very openly to the match. A lot of goalscoring opportunities had been seen from both sides, but the hosts were the ones to score again via Schwab from the penalty kick and Fountas a few minutes later. The guests had their chances too, however they lacked concentration.
They are now one point ahead of today’s opponent, but as said already, the situation is complicated and nobody wants to finish below the second position which leads to Champions League.
The visitors should probably miss goalkeeper Strebinger (20/0) due to injury. Injured are also central backs Dibon (22/2), Barac (18/3), midfielder Velimirovic (4/0) and offensive Schobesberger (11/2).
Back to positive ways
With everything that LASK showed us this season, there’s no doubt that they are favorites to win here. After an incredibly unlucky defeat at home to Hartberg, they should be re-grouped and improved against modest guests.
