Lazio didn’t have that easy game away to Brescia last Sunday afternoon, but even so, the circumstances went in their favor completely during the clash. Balotelli brought the home team into the lead with a goal in the eighteenth minute, while the hosts stood playing with a man less in the 40th minute.
Immobile leveled up two minutes later from the penalty kick, while the guests pushed them a lot in the second halftime. In the end, they managed to get the winning goal in the first minute of added time again thanks to Immobile.
Overall, it was them who deserved more from everything we’ve seen on the field, but it would be far different in case Brescia didn’t get a player excluded.
Thanks to this victory, they continued with their great run, now having six points less than the leading duo from Inter and Juventus.
Left-back Lukaku (2/0) is out injured, while midfielder Parolo (13/0) remains suspended.
Napoli is in plenty of problems this season comparing it to the previous one, with the team showing it almost round to round. Last time out, they suffered a 1:3 defeat at home against Inter, without being able to resist in a better way.
They stood behind in the scoreline with two goals down after thirty-three minutes of play, being outplayed in the first part-time.
They did fight back in the second, probably since Inter was satisfied with the result, but without proper chance to get back into the match. They are now already eleven points behind the Champions League positions that are far below the expectations.
The guests continue to miss right back Malcuit (3/0), central back Maksimovic (9/1), left-back Ghoulam (5/0). Central back Koulibaly (14/0) is also out injured most likely, while doubtful remains forward Mertens (16/4).
Lazio has scored at least 2 goals in their last 12 matches (Serie A).
Lazio is looking far more confident than their opponents for this one and everything except their victory would be quite a surprise. Napoli misses important players in defense, but also anyway doesn’t inspire with confidence this season.
The momentum is complete with the hosts and they should be able to exploit it this time, probably together with more than a couple of goals scored.
