After a run of three wins and a draw, players of Lecce couldn’t handle the pressure in away game to Brescia suffering narrow 2:1 loss. They did take the lead in the first halftime and maybe could have scored more, but Brescia appeared far better in the second. Their only target is getting back to the winning track, being two points behind second-placed Brescia.
Padova suffered their third consecutive defeat last time out, losing to Palermo at home with a 1:3 result. They did take the lead first, but the players from Palermo were far more concrete and effective in continuation. They now stand sharing the last position together with Livorno with just eleven points out of fifteen rounds.
Forward Pettinari (9/0) won’t be playing for Lecce in this one, but anyway with the team having better solutions. Guests miss defender Cappelletti (15/2) due suspension, but also defenders Clemenza (11/1), Ravanelli (9/2) and offensive player Guidone (5/0).
Lecce showed so much more during the season while there’s certain individual quality difference seen in favor of the hosts so far in the season. Padova is far away from impressive side on the road and shouldn’t stay competitive for too long.
