After the good performances in the Champions League OL Lyon makes its debut in the “Ligue 1” for the new season. The team of Mr. Rudi Garcia has had a good performance in the games played after the break of the covid-19: before the League Cup final lost only on penalties against Paris SG and then the Final eight of UCL obtained by eliminating Juventus and then qualifying for the semifinals by eliminating Manchester City. Only the great strength of Bayern Munchen prevented the French from obtaining a historic final.
For this debut match in the “Ligue 1” it is likely that Lyon will present itself with the tested and effective 3-5-2. The excellent recent performances are make the first call-up to the national team for the jewel Aouar for the matches to be played in september, while the youngsters Caqueret and Bard received their first call-up in the under 21.
Dijon has already made his debut in the league and the first game was a disappointment with the defeat at home against Angers (0-1). Alphonse, Aguerd, Mendyl and Mavididi left for the transfer market, while Pape Diop, Ebimbe, Scheidler and Dobre arrived, all young guys with little experience in the league. During the week there were two other signings, Chalà and Panzo.
The line-up problems remain as in the first game they are always unavailable Baldè, Benzia, Coulibaly, Younousse and Julio Tavares, to which the injured Ngonda (def 1/0) and the unavailable Pape Diop (mid 1/0), because ineligible against his home club.
At the moment Dijon has problems finding a reliable line-up trying to make up for the absences and departure of many players and I think that OL have them is too strong an opponent at the moment. For me good chances of victory for OL with more than a goal of difference.
