Last time out in Ligue 1 for Marseille was back on the 5th December when the side lost to Nantes on the road despite the fact that they had the lead twice in the first halftime. They are now five points behind Champions League and third-placed Lyon. Europa League campaign ended even worse, with just a point taken out of six rounds.
Strasbourg had all the chances to walk away with something last Saturday afternoon when they suffered 2:1 defeat away to Reims. Even though fighting well, the side lacked more effectivity in the attack. They are now six points behind Europa League placed Montpellier.
Striker Mitroglou (12/3) is injured with a muscular problem. The guests continue to miss left-back Ndour (no performance so far). Disregarding injuries, both teams are set to rotate their squads a bit here.
Marseille seems like a side in way too many problems at the moment. Their focus should be with Ligue 1, meanwhile, their rotated squad gave very poor results in Europa. Having that in mind, Strasbourg has a real chance to surprise here and score for sure, in order to make the game as interesting as possible.
