Midtjylland made a set back in the first round of Denmark SuperLiga when they suffered an away loss to Sonderjyske with a 2:0 result.
The visitor had mostly the ball to their feet in this one, but the hosts were more creative and used their chances more effectively, as they were able to score two goals in the 57th and the 90th minute of the match, taking the three points at the start of the season – surely a reflection of the importance of this game.
In their last qualification match for the Champions League, Midtjylland defeated Ludogorets from Bulgaria with a minimal result, playing away from home. They were a more aggressive team in this one, it took them a while, but they were able to score in the 77th minute over Junior Brumado and progressed further.
They also played several friendly matches prior to this one, where they showed decent offensive capabilities, and if they hold to their distinctive play in this one, goals will certainly follow.
The hosts should keep missing injured defender Andersson (31/1), midfielders Anderson (31/4), Onyeka (32/4) and forward Schwartz (15/6) – all stats from the previous season.
The Swiss champion is having something to look forward to in this clash, as they are really having good appearances for quite some time now. They were able to win the Swiss Cup against Basel back in August with 1:2, after a complete reversal.
After the first forty-five minutes, the team from Basel had a 1:0 advantage, but Young Boys raised their level of play in the second part, and with two goals over NSame and Spielmann, they took the victory in this final and justified the role of favorites.
In their last Champions League qualification match, they completely outplayed Klaskvik from the Faroe Islands and deservedly took a 3:1 home victory, and progressed forward.
The Swiss are proven to be quite an effective team, as the aggressive approach is pretty much their signature. They should have no problems in creating opportunities in the upcoming match, where everything is pointing on goals.
The guests miss less important defensive Petignat (3/0, last season), as well as striker Elia (12/2) due to injuries.
Goals shouldn’t lack
Considering how both teams are playing, the goals look like granted in this one. With both having more than decent offensive potential and do relly much more in their offensive style, goals do look like a value bet here. One goal is needed to make a wide-open clash in this one.
