Napoli did just enough to record a victory in their latest clash early in November against Bologna, in an away match. They opened the match visibly more aggressive and with a goal in the 23rd minute over Osimhen, deservedly took the lead.
They “eased off the throttle”, as the match progressed to the second part when they had one more chance to double their lead in the 50th minute, but the goal was disallowed after VAR. The home side looked capable enough to score an equalizer, but the goalkeeper of the guests stood out to the task, as he saved his goal on several occasions, so the result remained unchanged.
Napoli is doing its job this season in Serie A, living up to the expectations, as they are currently in 3rd place in the rankings.
Left-back Hysaj (5/0) is out injured, as well as goalkeeper Ospina (4/0) and forward Osimhen (6/2).
Milan made a minor setback in the last match at home against Verona when they came out with a 2:2 draw, two weeks ago.
The visitors took the double lead with goals in the 6th and the 19th minute when Calabria accidentally scored an own goal, but the Rossoneri reduced it to 1:2, as the guests made the same mistake only eight minutes later. The second part completely belonged to Milan, and Ibrahomivic missed a great chance to level up in the 65th minute, as he was inaccurate from the penalty.
However, he redeemed for that mistake in the third minute of added time when he scored an equalizer and saved his team from a surprising defeat. Never the less, Milan started the season in a very good manner, as they are unbeaten so far, deservedly occupying first place in Serie A.
The guests miss offensive Rafael Leao (6/2) and defender Musacchio who didn’t play yet in the new season.
All set for a very competitive game
Both teams are having a busy schedule in Europa in front of them, but the shire rivalry of these two should make this match as interesting as possible. Having great offensive lines and a motive to give their maximum in this one, only a sparkle is needed to light up the fire and turn this match into a goalscoring rhapsody.
