Portsmouth vs Oxford

League One action for me again and this game will be played at Fratton Park and will kick off at 16:00 UK time. The game will be played between Portsmouth and Oxford United. The home side head into this game still with a shout at the play offs. They are currently less than 7 points behind the play off places as things stand at the moment during today’s games.
They have managed 16 wins and 4 draws with 17 defeats. they have been a little inconsistent this season and now is the time to turn their season around and try and sneak into the play off places. Manager Kenny Jackett does have a good squad to choose from and should be higher up the league in my opinion.
Portsmouth head into the game on the back of a 2-0 win away from home vs Oldham. Portsmouth deserved the win and 2 goals from star striker Brett Pitman secured the points. He has been a key player for Pompy this season and i expect him to be one of the leagues top scorers come the end of the season.
Portsmouth’s home form hasn’t been great recently, however, i expect them to put this right tomorrow when they welcome Oxford.

The visitors for the game are Oxford United, they are currently sat in 16th in the table and not out of danger just yet as they are just 5 points above the drop zone! They have managed 12 wins and 9 draws with only 15 defeats this season.
They have not had the best of seasons and many would have expected them to be higher in the league than they actually are. Oxford head into the match also with a win which was a 2-1 victory over Peterborough with Rob Dickie and James Henry getting the goals. Prior to this win they had not won since the 3rd Feb when they beat Charlton 3-2.
Oxford have scored and conceded quite a lot of goals this season with 52 goals for and 54 against. I don’t think they will be able to keep Pompy out for this game and fully expect Portsmouth to secure a vital 3 points here in-front of their home fans.
I’ll be backing a Portsmouth win at a price of 1.90 with Bet365. Good luck all.
