Leipzig got into problems away to Leverkusen last weekend being twice down in the scoreline, but the second part of the game belonged only to them. It wasn’t a very open game, but the guests were as effective as possible to reach their 4:2 victory in the end.
The side is now seven points ahead of out of Champions League positions and on a good way to secure the exit in case they maintain the momentum.
Wolfsburg looked decently well at home against Hannover, reaching a 3:1 victory after being down in the scoreline at first. The game itself was quite an equal one in a matter of chances, but the hosts showed more of the possession and were far more concrete in their chances created. They are now at the Europa League exit position also being in need to get something here.
Leipzig misses defender Upamecano (14/0), with another defender Adams (9/0) being doubtful. The visitors have defender Gerhardt (25/2), midfielder Camacho (6/0) and a couple of more that didn’t play so far in the season injured.
Wolfsburg is far away from a naive side, even away from home they’ve been able to put some great performances this season. Leipzig remains a favorite and should get the victory, but it shouldn’t be that light and with the guests showing nothing in attack.
