Scotland had to get the victory away to Albania to stay alive in their chances of promotion completely and that’s exactly what they did winning the opponent with a 4:0 result in Shkoder. Now, the side needs a victory to get the first position against a side they got defeated with a 2:1 result earlier in October despite having the lead in the first halftime.
After starting defeat away to Albania, Israel improved well in next two matches and recorded victories at home over Albania and Scotland – both matches completely deserved. They will now need to remain undefeated here, but knowing that they can’t wait to see what happens and stay behind the ball for too long.
Nine players have dropped out of Scottish squad since call-up, including goalkeeper Gordon (Celtic), defenders Mulgrew (Blackburn), Tierney (Celtic), midfielders McDonald (Fulham) and McGinn (Aston Villa). The visitors miss defender Tibi (Maccabi Tel Aviv), midfielders Golasa (Maccabi Tel Aviv), Einbinder (Beitar) and forward Shechter (Maccabi Tel Aviv).
Scotland improved their atmosphere with a victory away to Albania but will need another three-pointer here. Israelis can count on a draw here, but will surely try to exploit their explosivity on the wings. An open game is what I expect here.
