Sivasspor made a real surprise winning over Besiktas away from home with a 1:2 result last Sunday night. They have taken the lead early, already in the seventh minute via Yesilyurt and somewhat managed to make the circumstances go into their favor despite the pressure from their opponents.
It was Ljajic who scored the equalizer in the 33rd minute, but Yatabare brought the guests back into the lead just before the halftime whistle. Besiktas remained much more control on the field, but Sivasspor was threatening via counters – even though they had a man less since the 67th minute already.
With this victory, they continued really good recent run, while the side also progressed further in the Turkish Cup as well. They have won over Yeni Malatayspor 5:2 on the aggregate result, despite losing 2:1 away from home last Thursday afternoon.
As for Super Lig, they continue to lead the table with three points more than Fenerbahce, meaning that victory is a must thing for them now, in order to regain the convincing table lead.
Yatabare should lead their attack in a version of a 4-2-3-1 formation. Left-back Ciftci (14/1), right-back Goiano (17/0) and offensive midfielder Yesilyurt (18/4) are suspended for this one. Forward Fernando (16/5) is out injured.
Rizespor did what was needed to get an important three-pointer at home against Genelcerbirligi last Monday evening. The game itself wasn’t very interesting, with neither of the teams risking a lot at the start. However, it was the guests who tried to push for more in the second part.
On the contrary, the home team proved to be more effective in attack, taking the lead via Skoda in the 70th minute and remaining more dangerous via counters later on. The same player has scored the second goal in the 85th minute, but it was when the guests opened up and risked searching for the equalizer.
Rizespor also had a Cup game on Thursday night, but have suffered exclusion away to Galatasaray after a 2:1 loss and a 1:1 home match a week earlier. As for Super Lig, they are at the eleventh position now and quite safe regarding the relegation battle having eight points more than the red zone placed Kasimpasa.
The guests should play in a version of a 4-2-3-1 formation with Skoda in the attack. They should only miss defensive midfielder Diomande (13/0) due to suspension.
In any way, this match should be all about the home team. The individual quality is on their side, as well as form and the momentum overall. Rizespor isn’t generally impressive this season, especially not on the road where they have earned only seven points till now. Creativity and effectivity during the match are on completely different levels looking at these two.
