Losing 3 games in the previous 4 rounds of the Premier League is just too much for a team that wants to keep the trophy in their possession for one more season. Therefore, Pep’s boys will have to go for a win here.
Another reason why I’m sure Man City will be extra motivated to win this game is that next week they play against the current table leaders, Liverpool. And considering that in games like those anything can happen, they better play it safe and grab all 3 points in time.
Man City do have some problems with injuries, most notably with Fernandihno who’s been one of their best players this season. Still, the good news is that De Bruyne and Aguero finally look 100% fit and ready to give their best.
All of this makes me sure we’re going to see an away win here. But, the odds on Man City are just way too low.
The thing about this team is that they play great against the teams from the lower half of the table. They thrashed Huddersfield 6:1, Cardiff 5:0, Burnley 5:0, West Ham 4:0, and so on. They even destroyed their next opponent, Southampton. The score in that game was 6:1.
Winning big on Sunday afternoon is a priority for Guardiola and his team. It will bring them the much-needed points, as well as the confidence they’re probably lacking after a disastrous run.
