Scottish Premiership for me in a game that will be played on Wednesday 28th March 2018. The game will kick off at 19:45 and will be played at McDiarmid Park and will be played between St.Johnstone and Hamilton Academical.
The hosts are favourites for the win here, however, the visitors do head into the game unbeaten in their last 3 games. St.Johnstone are currently in 8th in the table on 34 points, the visitors for the game a place behind in 9th in the table just 4 points behind, however, they have 2 games in hand.
St.Johnstone have only managed 9 wins from their 30 league fixtures this season with 7 draws and 14 defeats. What stands out to me is the amount of goals they have conceded. They have leaked 43 goals from 30 games, so it’s clear that against good attacking sides they are liable to ship a few goals. They also average a goal per game themselves too.
St.Johnstone have been a little inconsistent of late and 6 league games has consisted of results 2 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats. their last fixture was a 1-1 draw at home vs Hibernian (who had a man sent off after just 14 minutes). they do have around 5 players still injured which will have an impact.
The visitors for the game are Hamilton Academical, they could sneak up to 7th in the table if they can win their 2 games in hand, so I expect them to be up for it vs a side in and around them. Like the home side, Hamilton Academical stand out to me for the sheer amount of goals they score and concede in games.
Their goals tally for the season after just 28 games stands at 40 goals for and 50 against! So the Hamilton Academical fans have clearly been getting their money’s worth of £ to goals ratio.
Hamilton Academical head into the game having not lost in their last 3 league games. They have been Partick and Motherwell and then drew 2-2 with Ross County. They’ve managed to break down Rangers on 3 occasions in their 5-3 defeat and they also managed a goal against run away leaders Celtic when they lost 3-1 away.
~ There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 7 of Hamilton Academical’s last 8 games in Premiership.
I can see goals in this game and i think both sides are more than capable of getting a goal each here. Therefore, I’ll be backing BTTS at a good price of 2.05 with William Hill. I expect this price to drop as the week goes on so i would back early. Good luck all.
