Valladolid vs Alcorcon

Valladolid is surely one of the favorites for the promotion this season as the side lost the play-off position in last rounds of previous season, while they improved the squad decently and look solid for the moment. However, they have suffered two defeats in last two matches away from home and it seems that they will need to imrpove and act here accordingly.
Bit more difficult that expected was their defeat last weekend as the side visited Rayo Vallecano and got outplayed with a 4:1 result. Hosts simply entered way better into the match, had the double lead already after fifteen minutes (via Embarba and Trejo), in a game where the guests struggled to make some more positive things. Hosts scored from the penalty once more in 41st minute via De Tomas and even though guests reduced at the start of second via Plano and had much more of the ball possession, revert of the scoreline didn’t come, on contrary, hosts sealed the victory with fourth goal in 85th again via Embarba. Valladolis is now sharing the fifth position but close to the top of the table and surely that only a victory is their target.

Defensive midfielder Luismi (8/1) and forward Iban Salvador (8/3) should be suspended for coach Luis Cesar Sampedro.
Alcorcon have started the season in a pretty decent manner having two victories and three defeats, but soon enough got back to the reality suffering three defeats in last three rounds. They were lucky to get the survival last season thanks to two victories in last two rounds and other results going into their favor, but the side will need to change something quickly in order to avoid similar situation later on.
Their recent defeats came on the road to Tenerife and at home against Granada, while the side also got outplayed away to Cordoba last weekend with a 3:0 result. Hosts were way better in the first halftime, but the goals came in second – within seven minutes (Markovic in 52nd, an own goal in 57th and Guardiola Navarro in 59th minute) sealed the victory while the guests tried and were very active from then on, but the hosts were already satisfied with the outcome. They are now just above the relegation zone with nine points, just a point more than relegating placed Lorca.
First choice goalkeeper Casto (7/0) is suspended as he got a red card in last minute of the previous game, while suspension also has central midfielder Jon Errasti (8/0) due to accumulation of yellow cards.
Valladolid have won five out of last six matches against Alcorcon.
Alcorcon is far away from the quality of Valladolid and with the help of their fans, hosts should be able to get the three pointer here. Alcorcon have conceded seven goals in last two matches away from home and I simply can’t see them matching Valladolid in attack tonight. Home victory without a goal conceded is probable too.
