Valladolid was set as an underdog in their home match against Valencia last time out, but the team managed to pull out a point in a 1:1 game.
With the way the match developed, they could feel even unhappy with such a development as they took the lead in the 83rd minute thanks to a goal from Guardiola, while the guests leveled up the result in the fourth minute of added time via Vallejo.
Additionally, it was Valladolid that has created more and actually could have scored even earlier. That especially goes fro the second halftime that was far more attractive and interesting than the first one.
The side now stands at the fourteenth position six points above the relegation zone and surely can benefit from further detachment from the red zone.
The home side has defender Nacho (13/0) doubtful for this one, after missing previous three competitive matches too.
Leganes didn’t have that difficult job winning at home over Leganes with a 2:0 result.
The hosts have taken the lead in the 11th minute thanks to a goal from Braithwaite and it was far easier for them from that moment on.
They continued being very threatening despite having less of the ball possession, while Espanyol looked very uncreative.
En Nesyri scored the second in the 54th minute and with the lack of real creativity from Espanyol, the game looked pretty much sealed from that moment on.
The side is now undefeated in the last three rounds, but is still inside the relegation zone having three points more than the rock bottom-placed Espanyol at the moment.
The guests will miss defenders Bustinza (16/0), Navarro (4/0), Siovas (13/0) and midfielder Recio (12/0) due to injuries.
Leganes did improve a little in the last weeks, but that goes for their home matches where the team hosted Espanol and Celta that aren’t that impressive this season.
The draw can not be excluded, however, if one of the teams gets closer to the victory, that would definitely be the home side.
Valladolid seems far more stable at the back and it’s about time to get the right result in front of their own fans as well.
