Verona is struggling in the last matches, as they simply can’t record a positive result. They were the underdog in the last match against Roma when they walked away with an away 2:1 loss.
They had a 2:0 disadvantage after the first part of the match, but they managed to reduce the deficit in the 47th minute to 2:1, but unfortunately for them, there is nothing more they could have done in this encounter, being limited in the attack. The hosts safely kept their lead and brought this match to an end without any major problems.
Verona is at ninth place in the Serie A, with European exit places looking a bit too far for them, as the season is coming to an end.
They will miss central defenders Kumbulla (25/1), Dawidowicz (15/1), Bocchetti (5/0) and midfielder Danzi (1/0) due to injuries.
Atalanta, not surprisingly, considering their form, completely cleared off the field Brescia in the last round of Serie A at home. They were by the far superior opponent in this match, leaving no chance for the visitors to do something here.
They scored six goals, four in the first part, and two in the second, allowing Brescia to score two times, once in each part of the game. Atalanta is shining for quite a while in Serie A, having thirteen matches without a negative result, only two of them which were draws.
They are now at the third position, only one point behind Inter, and with their latest appearances, they deserve as higher placement as possible.
Forward Muriel (29/17) is injured for the guests for this one.
Goals are expected in this one
Atalanta is a strong favorite here, there should be no problems for them scoring multiple times. They will most certainly play openly, and here I see the chance for Verona to score, as they can be dangerous via counters. Verona’s didn’t have that many problems (to show efficiency) against strong sides when given a chance and space between the lines.
