After they convincingly defeated Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Europa League campaign with 4:0 at home, Villarreal performed very well in the domestic league also, as they recorded another positive result against Getafe, away.
They appeared good, especially in the first part of the match when they looked far better with the ball to their feet and deservedly went on a break with a 1:2 lead. In the continuation, the hosts opted for a riskier approach but lacked creativity. The visitors used a more open play of the opponents, and with a lovely finishing over Moreno in the 62nd minute, deservedly took this 1:3 victory.
Villareal is currently in 2nd place in LaLiga, appearing very good since the season started, having eighteen points out of nine matches.
Full back Moreno remains out with no play so far, while central back Foyth (1/0) and left-back Costa (2/0) are doubtful for the moment.
Real Madrid suffered an away loss in their latest clash against Valencia with a 1:4 result, in a match that will surely be remembered. They were in terrible shape, that is a fact, but never the less we’re able to take the lead first over Benzema in the 23rd, but soon, everything went downhill for them.
In the 35th minute, the Bats leveled up from the penalty which was executed by Soler, and only eight minutes later, Valencia took the lead when Varane scored an own goal. As the match continued, the home side was provided with two more penalties in the 54th and the 63rd, again, Soler was effective and put a pretty demoralizing defeat upon the guests.
Real is in 4th place after nine rounds, with much room for improvement, but they need to do it as soon as possible, as everyone in Spain is aware of their vulnerability.
Forward Eden Hazard (1/1) and central defender Militao (2/0) should be still out, while midfielder Valverde (8/3) remains injured. Doubtful is the participation of central back Ramos (8/2) and striker Benzema (8/4), but both are expected to feature, while midfielder Casemiro (7/0) and defenders Carvajal (3/0) and Varane (7/0) have certain problems too.
Goals are highly likely here
Villarreal has a great chance to use a weakened opponent to their advantage in this one, and maybe even take a victory. However, Real remains one of the greatest, regardless of how they appear, and I am confident that they will bounce back as the season continues. The winner of this clash is highly unpredictable, but in one thing I am pretty sure, there shouldn’t be clean sheets in an open encounter for the entire clash.
