Watford will host Manchester City in the 15th round of Premier League at Vicarage Road.
Watford are 10th in the ranking and they have to face the PL leaders maybe in the worst moment for them. Only the teams in the relegation zone+ Wolves are in worse current form than Watford and this match against City isn’t going in the right moment for sure. It’s true the visitors have a visit at Stamford Bridge during the weekend, but this will not imfluence the team too much. Under Pep Guardiola they want to take win after win and to grab another PL trophy. The difference with Liverpool is too small, so missing points against teams like Watford is just forbidden. Most of City start are young and talented players, especially the duo Sane and Sterling. Maybe Aguero will be rested and will be a substitution of Jesus- we will see what Pep will decide as a starting line-up, but whatever he does tomorrow, I am confident the starting players will give their best for taking the three points and maybe it will be easier than expected.
Watford were total mess in the last rounds losing against Leicester 2:0 as visitors+ 0:3 against Liverpool. At home they earned a few bad losses- not only against Liverpool, but also against Bournemouth with 0:4 and Manchester United with 1:2. Their start of the season was almost perfect, but then the things started to normalize and now they are in the middle of the ranking. Capoue is suspended for this game, while Cleverley and Penaranda are injured.
What to talk about City- best attack with 43 goals scored, second best defense with only 6 goals received. As visitors they have 4 wins and two draws with 13:1 goal difference. The 2 draws were against Wolves 1:1 and Liverpool 0:0, while in the other games they recorded some important and even huge wins against Arsenal 0:2, Tottenham 0:1 and West Ham 0:4. They’ve got really monsterous attacking players and only a lot of misses can make the things harder than expected for City tomorrow. They will be without the expected players- Bravo, Mangala, Mendy and De Bruyne.
Since 2013 H2H they have 8 matches and City won all of them. Infact only one of these matches finished with a goal difference for City. In every single of the other games Manchester City won with at least two goals difference. The last two transformed into real punishments after 0:5 and 0:6 for City. I expect the guests to take the control of the match from the very start and with players like Silva, Gundogan, Fernandinho, Mahrez, Sane, Aguero, Jesus and Sterling it’s not so hard to predict they can easily take another scalp and win. I am going with -1.5 AH for City. Good luck!
