After two consecutive victories in Eredivisie, Sittard failed to be more creative last time in an away match against Groningen when they suffered a 1:0 defeat.

Sittard caught up with a good rhythm in Eredivisie, as they are currently on two matches winning streak, last time out at home against Venlo with a 3:2 result.
The home side looked better with the ball, created more opportunities, and deservedly took the lead first in the 33rd minute. They doubled it from the penalty in the 58th, being quite dangerous via counters, but conceded five minutes later. Fortuna Sittard vs VVV-Venlo

Sittard is coming to this match with positive thoughts, as they managed to be victorious last time on the road against Waalwijk with a 1:2 result.
Considering the offensive approach, that both sides opted for, it was surprising that the first part went without goals. A similar play was seen in the second, as both of them were more creative. The visitors took the double lead with goals in the 54th and the 63rd, while the hosts managed to reduce the deficit in the 84th minute. Overly looking, this clash was quite dynamic, with the visiting side being slightly sharper and deservedly took all three.
Sittard is positioned at 12th place in the general standings, quite safe from the danger zone, but not in a position to compete for higher European leading spots.

Fortuna Sittard vs Sparta Rotterdam

Sittard positively surprised last time out against Heerenveen on the road when they come with a 1:3 victory, despite being considered as strong underdogs by the bookies.
They surprised the hosts with an effective approach, scoring as many as three goals during the first part, pretty much securing their victory here. The home side did take the initiative in the second part, but their attacks simply lacked more creativity, as they managed to be effective only once, not being in a position to completely return to the match.
