Strasbourg vs Monaco

Strasbourg appeared quite well in the last round against much favored Lille when they come with a 1:1 draw, proving the bookies wrong.
They took the lead first in the 36th minute after being slightly sharper at the finishing, but as the match moved to the second, the home side improved their performance and leveled up the score in the 86th, luckily for the guests, missing several decent opportunities prior.
Strasbourg is at 15th spot in the standings, having five points more than play-out positioned Nimes.

Lecce vs Virtus Entella

Lecce was close in taking all three in the last round on the road to Pescara, but instead, they come with a 1:1 draw, maybe a bit unlucky.
They appeared better in the first forty-five minutes, deservedly taking the lead in the 38th over Maggio, and even though the hosts raised their level of play in the second, the defensive line of the guests stood their ground, but not till the end, as they conceded just before the fulltime whistle.
Lecce is at 6th place in the overall standings, having four points less than Monza and a ticket for direct promotion to Serie A.

Central back Dermaku (6/1) and right-back Adjapong (19/1) are out injured.

Entella finally managed to take at least a point last time out at home against Brescia when they come with a 1:1 draw.

Even though they went on a break with a 0:1 deficit, the hosts approached the second part with more aggression, blowing their first chance for equalization in the 50th when they missed a penalty kick. However, they kept their offensive approach, and successfully leveled up in the 83rd via Pellizzer, and set the final result in this clash.

Entella is hammered at the bottom of the table, and it would be very difficult for them to escape relegation this season.

Midfielder Mazzocco (9/0) remains injured, while doubtful is defender Cleur (12/0). Midfielder Setembrini (15/0) comes back from suspension.
Not much of a competitive side

Simply said, the guests are appearing too poorly this season to be considered as a team that can do something significant in this one.

They showed some improvement in their last clash, but that is not nearly enough to match Lecce. I would be truly surprised if hosts made a setback here, especially if we consider a fact that they are still quite involved in the race for direct promotion to Serie A.

St Pauli is looking good lately, currently having four consecutive victories, last time against Darmstadt at home, with a close 3:2 result.
The hosts had a double lead after the sixty-two minutes of play but lost their focus for a brief period, and conceded two goals in the next four minutes. However, in a pretty balanced match, St Pauli showed great determination, successfully adding one more to the scoreline in the 82nd as Burgastaller scored his second, and continued their impressive streak.
They are currently at 12th spot on the general rankings, at a safe distance from the danger zone, at least for now.

They appeared slightly sharper with the ball in the first part, taking the lead first in the 24th, but allowed the hosts to be in control in the second. St Gallen vs Basel

St Gallen made a setback in their last away clash against Vaduz, as they suffered a 2:1 defeat, apparently lacking more sharpness at the end of an attack.
They had a 2:0 deficit after sixty-four minutes of play, and even though they appeared more aggressive in the second part, the guests only managed to reduce in the 80th over Krauchi, surely regretting all the missed chances, especially in the second half.
St Gallen occupies 4th place in the rankings, only a point behind Zurich and a ticket for the European exit.

Charleroi vs Genk

Charleroi failed to be more concrete last time out against underdogs from Beveren, as they come with a 1:1 draw, playing away from home.
They looked confused a bit throughout the clash and can be satisfied with just a point here, as they conceded in the 87th, but luckily, leveled up just a couple of minutes later over Bruno.
Charleroi occupies 11th spot in the overall standings, being only a point in deficit compared to the playoff-placed Leuven.

Ajax vs Lille

Ajax did a great job last time out in Europe against Lille when they were able to record a 1:2 victory, playing back in France.
After a goalless first part when the guests looked more aggressive with the ball, they conceded first in the 72nd after a truly catastrophic error. However, they kept their focus and managed to level up from the penalty in the 87th over Tadic. Only two minutes have passed, and the visitors from Netherland found themselves in a perfect situation to take the lead after a great team-work, which they did over Brobbey, who had an easy job from a close range.
They are entering this clash with positive thoughts, as they showed that they are more than capable to be dangerous against any opponent that is in front of them.

Vaduz vs Lucerne

Vaduz has every reason to enter this clash with high expectations, as they managed to be victorious last time at home against St. Gallen, outplaying them with a 2:1 result.
Overly looking, they were a better side in the first forty-five minutes, taking the lead in the 29th over Schmied. Even though the visitors took control of the game in the continuation, the home side doubled their lead in the 64th, again over Schmied, allowing St. Gallen to effective just once in the last ten minutes of the encounter.
Vaduz holds the last place in the rankings, and this one is pretty much a must-win for them if they want to have a chance to escape the relegation battle scenario.

Lazio vs Bayern Munich

Lazio is coming to this first leg of the knockout phase after they successfully won over Sampdoria at home with a narrow 1:0 result.
The Romans opened the match with more confidence, taking advantage of the pretty much passive appearance by the visiting side in the first forty-five minutes. The hosts took the lead in the 24th over Alberto, and even though the rest of the clash went by without any more goals scored, Lazio can be satisfied with their appearance, especially during the first part of the encounter when they looked quite dominant.
They are at 5th place in Serie A, having the same amount of points as the Champions League-placed team from Bergamo.

Lyngby vs Copenhagen

Osasuna can be satisfied with how they appeared in the last round on the road against Levante when they managed to pull out a victory with a minimal result.
Both sides didn’t take too many risks, so it wasn’t surprising that no goals were scored after the first forty-five minutes. However, the second part was more exciting, visibly more dynamic compared to the first. The guests took the lead in the 74th over Budimir and can thank Herrera for a three-pointer, as he successfully anticipated the direction of the ball, and stopped the hosts to level up the score from the penalty in the 79th minute.
Osasuna is at 13th place in the standings, having some concerns, as they are only four points above the relegation placed Elche.
