Dortmund vs Freiburg ✅

Surprised to see Freiburg so high on the table, with 30 points from 18 matches and 4th position in the table. In the reverse fixture earlier on the season Freiburg won 2 – 1 with the second-half goal from Sallai. The biggest miss for the team might be Nico Schlotterbeck who hasn’t trained lately due to covid 19 so he lacks match fitness, other than that most likely no big changes.
Dortmund has been great at home, with 8 wins and only 1 loss against Bayern. Akanji has returned to training but most likely he will not take part in this game yet, so Dortmund needs to pair once again Hummels and Can in the central defense. This sounds scary enough already as I think they both are so unstable and prone to errors. Raphael Guerreiro also will miss out on the game, other than that all of the Dortmunds attacking forces are ready to go and terrorize Freiburg’s defense.

Frankfurt vs Borussia Dortmund

Eintracht is coming to this clash with positive thoughts, as their Bundesliga appearances are improving lately, currently enjoying a three-match positive run.
They did a good job before the break at home against Mainz when they narrowly outplayed them with a minimal result, and are now holding the 6th spot in the rankings, having only a point less than Champions League-positioned Leverkusen.
The hosts miss left-back Lenz (6/0), right-back da Costa (7/0), defensive midfielder Jakic (12/1), offensive midfielders Lindstrom (15/4), Hauge (12/2), Barkok (4/0), and forward Paciencia (7/2).
Opening Saturday of Bundesliga 2022 is definitely one of the priorities for the Millionaires, as they are still in a good position to stay competitive for the title race, currently having nine points less than leaders from Munich.

Bayern Munich vs Gladbach

Bayern is definitely eager to continue the season with positive momentum, as they are firmly holding the leading spot in Bundesliga rankings, leaving Dortmund with nine points in deficit.
They hammered Wolfsburg last time out at home with a convincing 4:0 result, extending their positive run to seven matches now in all competitions, and surely expecting nothing less in their first appearance in the new year.
Goalkeeper Neuer (17/0), defenders Richards (6/0), Hernandez (14/0), Nianzou (9/0), Upamecano (15/1), midfielder Tolisso (7/0), and forwards Coman (10/4), and Sane (17/5) were already positive. Midfielder Sarr (4/0) and forward Choupo-Moting (9/3) are out on international duty. Central-back Sule (15/0) and right-back Stanisic (8/0) are doubtful.

Freiburg vs Bayer Leverkusen

Freiburg failed to be more creative last time out on the road against Union Berlin when they took a point in a 0:0 stalemate.
Overly looking, they were slightly pushed back by the home side here and tried to be dangerous in transition, but unfortunately without success, while the hosts, even with a more dangerous performance, failed to be more creative, leaving this clash to pass by without too much excitement.
Freiburg is currently at the 5th spot in the general rankings, being only a point in deficit compared to the Champions League positioned Hoffenheim.
They miss defender Gulde (11/0), midfielders Keitel (10/0) and Schmid (2/0) due to injuries.
Leverkusen failed to meet the expectations in their last home clash against underdogs from Hoffenheim, as they took only a point in a 2:2 draw.

Leverkusen vs Hoffenheim

Leverkusen suffered a pretty demoralizing defeat in the last round on the road to Eintracht when they were completely outplayed with a convincing 5:2 result.
The guests opened the match in a better way and took a 0:2 over Shick after twenty-two minutes of play. Little did they know that everything will go down the hill from that point on, as they conceded two in the next eight minutes, and were completely overrun during the second when they allowed the home side to be effective three more times.
Still, Leverkusen is doing quite all right this season in Bundesliga, as they currently hold the 3rd spot in the rankings, four points in deficit compared to the second-placed Dortmund.
They continue to miss defender Bakker (9/0), defensive midfielder Baumgartlinger (2/0), while defender Frimpong (15/1) now won’t play due to a suspension.

Leipzig vs Bayer Leverkusen

Leipzig can be content with how the things eventually developed in their respectful group, as they are currently at the 3rd spot and will most likely continue to compete in the knockout phase of the Europa League this season.
Their latest 0:5 victory against Club Brugge on the road is definitely encouraging and is certainly giving them a morale boost for the upcoming clash, in which in case of a victory, they will get more seriously involved for the European exit next season, as only two points are separating them and Wolfsburg.
Goalkeeper Gulacsi (12/0) is out, as well as long-term absentee defender Halstenberg (no performance so far), offensive midfielder Olmo (4/0), and forward Poulsen (10/4). Midfielders Haidara (11/2) and Szoboszlai (11/3).

FC Köln vs Bayer Leverkusen

Koln is coming to this clash after a pretty disappointing defeat last Friday on the road to Hoffenheim, as they were completely outplayed with a 5:0 result.
They simply appeared too uncreative with the ball, leaving the hosts to flourish, conceding one in the first, and as many as four in the second, not being in a position to score at least a comforting one in this clash.
Koln is positioned at the 9th spot on the table, one point in deficit compared to the Conference League-placed Mainz.
The home side should miss defender Hector (7/0), midfielders Ljubicic (7/0) and Skhiri (7/3) this time. Defender Horn misses out since the start of the season.
Leverkusen made a decent appearance in their last European clash away against Betis when they deservedly took a point in a 1:1 stalemate.

Bayern Munich vs TSG Hoffenheim

The Munich giant met the expectations in their last European appearance away to Benfica when they had no difficulties and recorded a 0:4 victory.
No different was their last Bundesliga clash on the road to Leverkusen when they also shined, and come with a convincing 1:5 victory.
Bayern has almost a perfect record so far in the Bundesliga campaign, currently being at the top of the table, leaving their closest Dortmund with one point in deficit.
Goalkeeper Ulreich (not the first choice, 1/0), full-back Davies (8/0) and midfielder Goretzka (8/1) won’t appear in this one.
Hoffenheim appeared spectacularly in their last home match against underdogs from Koln, leaving no chance for their opponents to be much of a challenge, and overrun them with a 5:0 result.

Wolfsburg vs RB Leipzig

Wolfsburg met the expectations last time out against Hertha in Berlin when they recorded a close 1:2 victory, showing better concentration at the finishing compared to their opponent.
After a goalless first part, the guests conceded first in the 60th minute from the penalty, but kept their focus and responded in the best way possible, scoring two over Baku in the 74th and Nmecha in the 88th minute, thus recording their second consecutive victory since the begging of the new season in Bundesliga.
Left-back Otavio is still injured, as well as full-back William, forward Bialek and midfielder Vranckx, all without playing so far. Doubtful is offensive Weghorst (2/1).
Leipzig made quite an appearance in their last match at home against Stuttgart when they hammered them with a convincing 4:0 victory.

Köln vs Kiel

Koln managed to escape a direct relegation during their last clash of the regular part of the season at home against Schalke when they took a close 1:0 victory and will do their best to survive in a two-leg match against Holstein Kiel.
Overly looking, they were a better squad during the whole encounter, but they only managed to score late in the 86th minute over Bornauw who planted a header, deserving an even higher margin victory, while Schalke appeared in their similar manner, not being dangerous at all, not surprisingly.
The hosts should keep missing midfielder Rexhbecaj (30/5) and forward Dennis (9/0) due to knocks.
Holstein Kiel failed to grab a direct promotion, as they ended up in 3rd place in 2. Bundesliga, not being too concrete in their last two matches when they come with surprising defeats.
