Inter Milan vs Sassuolo

Inter continues with their good performances in Serie A, deservedly being at the leading spot on the table, having eight points more than their biggest rivals Milan.
In their last match on the road to Bologna, a team from Milano did just what it took for them to record a narrow 0:1 victory, and justified the role of a strong favorite.
Lukaku brought his team the lead in the 32nd minute when he found himself in the right place at the right time to catch a rebound, while the hosts simply lacked more creativity to do something more in this clash, even though they had the possession.
Midfielder Vidal (23/1) is out injured, while forward Perisic (25/2) is unlikely to play as well due to a muscle problem. Midfielder Brozovic (25/1) is suspended, as well as central-back Bastoni (25/0).

Inter Milan vs Atalanta

A team from Milan did their job in the last round on the road to Parma when they recorded an expected victory with a 1:2 result.
They had the initiative from the very start, but only in the second part, they managed to break through the opponent’s defense, scoring two in the 54th and the 62nd over Sanchez, allowing hosts to spice it up a bit with a goal in the 72nd, but not letting any major surprises to occur in this clash.
Inter deservedly holds the leading spot in Serie A, having three points more than their closest AC Milan and a game less played.

Bologna vs Benevento

Bologna appeared quite well last time out on the road to Parma, as they recorded a convincing 0:3 victory.
They looked far better with the ball to their feet, especially in the first part, when they were effective twice, in the 15th and the 33rd over Barrow. Even though the hosts had several decent chances to make this clash a bit more interesting, they lacked sharpness at the finishing, on the contrary to the guests, that were effective one more time just before the fulltime and routinely walked away with a three-pointer.
Bologna is positioned at the 13th spot in the standings, at a safe distance from the danger zone, but not in a position to compete for a European exit.

Atalanta vs Lazio

Atalanta played a very interesting and dynamic clash in Coppa Italia last Wednesday evening at home against Lazio when they managed to progress further with a 3:2 victory.
Four days earlier, a team from Bergamo performed quite well in Serie A when they defeat Milan with a 0:3, playing as a visiting side. The visitors appeared much better with the ball to their feet, and with three goals scored, one in the first, and two in the second, completely outplayed currently the leaders in Serie A.
They are at 5th place in the general rankings, having the same amount of points the Champions League positioned Juventus, so we can assume that they will go for all three in the upcoming one.

Cagliari vs AC Milan

Cagliari continues with their poor performances this season in Serie A, as they recorded their last victory back in November and suffered three consecutive defeats since the new one began.
In their last Serie A clash, they visited Fiorentina when they suffered a loss with a minimal result, but had a chance for at least a point here. The guests missed a penalty in the 37th minute, while their overall appearance simply wasn’t good enough to do something more.
The hosts weren’t shining too, to be honest, but they did use their small number of chances with better efficiency, and with a goal over Vlahovic in the 72nd, set the final result in this encounter.

Cagliari currently occupies 16th place in the rankings, being in desperate need of a positive result, as they have only one point more than relegation placed Torino.
Midfielder Nandez (13/1) is suspended, while the hosts keep missing injured right-back Farago (8/0), central back Klavan (9/0) and midfielder Rog (14/0).

Milan had some difficulties in their last Coppa Italia match at home against Torino, but they still managed to progress forward after the penalties, as in the regular part, the result was 0:0.

Three days earlier, they clashed spears with the same team in a Serie A when they recorded a 2:0 victory at San Siro stadium. The Rossoneri did their job in the first forty-five minutes when they were effective two times, in the 25th over Leao and from the penalty in the 36th, which was perfectly executed by Kessie.

Seemingly satisfied with the result, the hosts lowered down the tempo in the second part of the match, allowing the visitors to be dangerous on several occasions, but fortunately, their sheet remained clean.

Milan is positioned at the leading spot on the table, leaving their biggest rival Inter with three points in deficit before the start of this round.

The guests miss suspended forward Leao (13/5), with defender Gabbia (6/0), defensive midfielder Bennacer (9/0), midfielders Krunic (12/0), and Saelemaekers (13/2) being injured.
All-around race for a three-pointer

Milan has a perfect chance this year for Scudetto, as they are appearing quite dominating throughout this season. With that being said, Milan has the means to respond in case of a conceded goal, which doesn’t seem that likely from quite passive hosts anyway.

Spezia vs Sampdoria

Spezia positively surprised in the last match against Napoli when they come with a 1:2 victory, playing away from home.
The hosts had the initiative and took the lead first in the 58th minute of the match, but the visitors responded in the best possible manner, as they leveled up from the penalty only ten minutes later.
Despite having a player less since the 77th, Spezia did manage to add another one to the scoreline in the 82nd and took this surprising victory in this encounter, as Napoli had chances but not being sharp enough with the ball possession.
They are currently at 16th spot in overall rankings, moved a bit from the danger zone with their latest result, which is only two points below.

The home side miss out goalkeeper Zoet (2/0), left-back Bastoni (9/0), and forward Galabinov (3/3) due to injuries. Suspended is defender Ismajli (4/0).

Sampdoria was able to bounce back after two consecutive defeats in Serie A, as they come with a surprising victory over Inter in the last round, defeating them with a 2:1 result, back at their home.

The visitors from Milan made a setback in the 12th minute when they missed a penalty, and as it usually goes, the hosts took the lead from the same situation in the 23rd minute. They did appear sharper with the ball in the first part and managed to effective one more time in the 38th, deservedly having a double lead after the first forty-five minutes.

Inter went all-in offensive as the match moved to the second, successfully reducing the deficit in the 65th, but failed to be sharper at the finishing for a complete comeback, maybe a bit undeservedly suffering a loss.

Sampdoria occupies 11th place on the table, quite safe from the danger zone, but not in a position to compete for European exit places.

Right-back Ferrari (5/0) is injured, as well as midfielder Silva (10/0) and forward Gabbiadini (3/0).
Both showed some improvement

As mentioned, both teams were victorious in their latest clashes, despite the odds not being in their favor, so carried with their latest achievements, I am expecting that both sides approach the upcoming match having a high expectations.

They are more than capable to be dangerous against each other, they were against far superior teams, and I expect both of them to enter this game with the offense in mind, as it’s definitely a clash during which both teams can gain something.
