Nantes vs Lille ❌

Nantes didn’t show much in their latest appearance on the road to Troyes when they come with a narrow 1:0 defeat, stepping away from their European hopes.
The visitors performed with a great deal of passivity and failed to respond to a conceded goal in the 43rd over Ugbo, even though they had control over the ball, especially during the second part of the match.
As mentioned, European chances for Nantes decreased, as they are currently at the 7th spot in the rankings, five points in deficit compared to the Conference League-placed Strasbourg.
They miss left-back Traore (16/0), central defender Pallois (25/0), offensive Coco (19/0), forward Augustin (4/0). Defender Girotto (28/5) is doubtful.
Lille suffered elimination from the Champions League campaign last Wednesday against Chelsea, as they were outplayed across both legs with a total of aggregate 1:4.

Marseille vs Lille ❌

Marseille did just enough in the last round on the road against underdogs from Bordeaux when they performed slightly more creatively and recorded a victory with a minimal result.
They were on the offensive since the begging and successfully scored over Under back in the 37th, probably deserving a more convincing one, as their appearance was visibly better.
Marseille is positioned at the 3rd spot in Ligue 1 standings, having three points less than second-placed Nice.
The hosts miss defensive midfielder Gueye (15/0) and forward Dieng (14/4) due to AFCON. Goalkeeper Mandada (4/0) won’t play, as well as central-back Gonzalez (6/0). Midfielder Gerson (17/3) and forward Milik (11/1) are doubtful.

Lens vs Lille

Lens is coming to this Coupe de France encounter after a close 2:1 defeat last time in Ligue 1 on the road to Nice, definitely having regrets about their performance, as they potentially could have done more.
They took the lead first in the 30th over Kalimuendo, appearing visibly more aggressive during the first, but lost the momentum in the continuation and allowed the hosts to completely reverse with two conceded in the 63rd and later in the 79th minute.
With this defeat, Lens holds 9th spot in the rankings, having four points less compared to the European-placed Montpellier.
Central-back Gradit (19/0) and left-back Haidara (11/0) should be suspended for this one. Forward Ganago (14/4) is out due to international duty, while out injured should remain midfielders Machado (11/0), Kakuta (15/2), and forward Said (9/4).

Sevilla vs Lille

Sevilla failed to be more creative last time out in Europe on the road against Lille when they took a point in a 0:0 stalemate.
They had the upper hand during the first part but failed to materialize their generally better appearance, while their front performance was simply not good enough in the continuation for more than just a draw.
No doubt that everyone expects a better result now, which would bring them closer to the knock-out phase later on.
The hosts have offensive Gomez (6/1), central-back Rekik (7/0), defensive midfielder Delaney (8/0) and right-back Montiel (3/1) set as highly doubtful for now.
As mentioned above, Lille took a point in their last appearance in the Champions League campaign, overly looking, being too static for something more.

Strasbourg vs Lille

Strasbourg made a decent appearance last time out on the road against slightly favored Lens when they did just enough to record a victory with a minimal result.
They were quite passive during the first part, but having a player more on the pitch since 50th opened their path for something more concrete. The guests used their chance in the 67th and scored over Ajorque and recorded their second consecutive victory in Ligue 1.
Strasbourg is at 9th spot in the overall standings, having two points less compared to the European-placed Lorient.
Forwards Mothiba and Dion (both no play this season) are out, as well as midfielder Bellegarde (6/0). Offensive Waris (5/0) is doubtful.

Lens vs Lille

Lens managed to be somewhat competitive last time out on the road against PSG, but they still suffered a 2:1 loss.
They were outplayed during the first sixty minutes of play, as they conceded two goals in that period, but their offense looked better and better as the match moved towards the end.
The guests reduced over Ganago right after they conceded their second one, but unfortunately for them, not being in a position to do something more in this one.
Lens is currently at 5th spot in the rankings, but they need to on alert as both Marseille and Rennes are in a position to threaten them.
Left-back Sylla (20/1) is suspended, while injured is also left-back Haidara (24/2). Central-back Diallo (25/0) should be out injured too.

Lyon vs Lille

Lyon had some difficulties in the last round of Ligue 1, but they still came out victorious against Nantes with a 1:2 result, playing in an away match.
They started the match in the best possible way, taking a double lead over Depay who was accurate in the 5th and the 37th minute. Even though the guests decreased their performance in the second part, and conceded over Pallois in the 60th, their two goals from the first were quite enough for them to take a maximum amount of points in this clash.
Lyon currently holds 4th spot in the rankings, having only three points less than their opponents in the upcoming encounter.
Central defender Diomande (24/0) is suspended, while injured are central defender Benlamri (5/0) and forward Kadewere (30/10) due to a thigh injury.

Ajax vs Lille

Ajax did a great job last time out in Europe against Lille when they were able to record a 1:2 victory, playing back in France.
After a goalless first part when the guests looked more aggressive with the ball, they conceded first in the 72nd after a truly catastrophic error. However, they kept their focus and managed to level up from the penalty in the 87th over Tadic. Only two minutes have passed, and the visitors from Netherland found themselves in a perfect situation to take the lead after a great team-work, which they did over Brobbey, who had an easy job from a close range.
They are entering this clash with positive thoughts, as they showed that they are more than capable to be dangerous against any opponent that is in front of them.

Dijon vs Lille

Dijon continues to disappoint their fans round after round, as they were unable to record a positive result in Ligue 1 since December last year. In their latest clash, they visited Montpellier, when they suffered a convincing 4:2 defeat, after a complete reversal.
They took an early lead in the 5th minute after a beautiful header by Coulibaly but looked completely absent when the match moved to the second. The visiting side was completely outplayed, conceding four goals, managing to be effective only one more time from the penalty in the 88th. It is worth mentioning that Dijon had a player less on the pitch since the 69th, but to that point, they were already in a severe deficit.
Dijon is at 19th place in the general standings, and with the way they are appearing, relegation is looking like a realistic scenario.

Rennes vs Lille

Rennes made a good appearance last time out on the road to Brest when they justified the role of a favorite and came with a 1:2 victory.
The hosts took an early lead in the 4th minute, but the guests responded in the best possible manner, as they leveled the result, only three minutes later. Overly looking, the visiting side showed a greater desire for victory here, and the reward came in the 77th minute when they provided with the penalty, which was perfectly executed by Grenier, who set the final score in this clash.
Rennes is appearing quite well this season, currently being at 5th place in the general standings, having a nice chance to catch up with the Champions League positioned Lyon, which is only four points away.
