Southampton vs Brentford ✅

Premier League action continues for Southampton which is currently holding the 14th spot in the general rankings, at a safe distance from a danger zone, as they have ten points more than relegation-worried Burnley.
They did a decent job in their latest appearance away against Tottenham when they managed to take a point in a 1:1 draw, definitely deserving a bit more in this clash in my opinion.
Southampton boosted their morale even more last weekend when they booked their ticket for further progress in FA Cup when they outplayed Swansea with a 3:2 result after an extra time, and are surely eager to start their 2022 Premier League campaign in the best way possible.
Defender Valery (1/0) is suspended, while the Saints miss goalkeeper McCarthy (15/0), defenders Walker-Peters (15/0), Livramento (18/1), midfielders Djenepo (8/0) and Smallbone (1/0).

Southampton vs Tottenham

Southampton finally ended their poor momentum last time out on the road against West Ham when they narrowly celebrated with a 2:3 victory.
The visitors took the lead early in the 8th, but by all means, the hosts were more than dangerous in this one. They equalized later in the 49th, while Southampton accordingly responded from the penalty in the 61st.
Even though the Hammers bounced back and leveled up once again only three minutes later, the guests kept their heads cool and scored another one in the 70th, thus putting an end to this very interesting encounter.
Southampton is currently at the 14th spot in the general rankings, nine points ahead of relegation worried Burnley.

West Ham vs Southampton

Currently suffering from a four-match winless run in all competitions, the Hammers simply have an imperative of victory in the upcoming one.
They lost their last Premier League appearance on the road to Arsenal with 2:0 and ended their EFL Cup campaign away against Tottenham 2:1 last Wednesday, but probably deserved at least a draw.
Still, they can be satisfied with their current Premier League rankings, as they are at the 5th spot, having only four points less than Champions League-positioned Arsenal.
They should miss central defenders Zouma (11/1), Ogbonna (11/1), offensive Antonio (16/6), while doubtful is left-back Cresswell (13/1).
Southampton is visibly struggling for some time now, as they failed to record a positive result in their previous six fixtures, taking only a point last time out on the road to Crystal Palace when they ended the match with a 2:2 draw.

West Brom vs Southampton

WBA accomplished quite a result in the last round when they managed to overrun Chelsea in London, outplaying them with a convincing 2:5 result.
The visitors conceded first in the 27th but were given a huge advantage only two minutes later when Silva was excluded. They used in the best way possible, scoring two in the last minutes of the first part, and successfully added three more to the scoreline in the continuation, allowing the hosts to be effective only one more time back in the 71st, for a truly surprising win, considering their overall appearance in this season.
WBA occupies relegation leading 19th place, and this victory surely came at the perfect time to boost their morale.

Southampton vs Arsenal

Southampton failed to be more competitive in their last Premier League match against Leicester on the road when they suffered a routine 2:0 defeat.
They went on a break with a 1:0 deficit but could put at least one to the scoreline, as they missed a couple of decent chances in the first part. Their offensive appearance didn’t look creative despite ball possession, and the visitors conceded another just before the full-time, thus suffering a defeat that had the potential to be more convincing.
Southampton is currently at 9th place on the table, having only four points less than European-positioned Tottenham.

Southampton vs Liverpool

Southampton made a minor setback in the last round at home against West Ham when they come with a 0:0 draw, despite being a slightly favored side.
They mostly had the ball to their feet in this clash but were simply too uncreative in the offensive line to be more dangerous in this encounter. The same things about the offense can be said for the visiting side, so a match without goals didn’t come as a great surprise.
Southampton is currently at 9th place on the table, competitive, at least for now, for European exit places, as they are only three points in deficit compared to Everton.
